Priced to please

My wife and I bought this TV at Walmart for $548. It is our first HDTV. We looked at a lot of them in various stores. I did a considerable amount of research and we finally decided on this one. Thought about a 120HZ model but didn't want to spend the extra money. It fits our budget and we are very satisfied with the quality and functionality. Don't have a blu-ray player yet but have watched standard DVDs with component video connection and picture quality is very very good. Streamed a Netflix movie or two in from our PC via HDMI cable and have viewed a considerable amount of satellite and over-the-air programming for the last month or so. Both standard def and HD picture quality, very nice. The volume leveling function is not perfect but it does help quite a bit. Sound with built-in speakers is good. Menus are user friendly and easy to navigate. Overall we are very pleased and would recommend this product to others.

You get what you pay for

Yes, that old saying is very true. Little after a year of buying the TV, it stopped working. Contacting Vizio was no help at all for "after warranty support". I received one generic message telling me that they could not do anything to help, and I should contact one of the "authorized repair vendors". It would cost $120 just to get some one to come and check the TV. If they need to replace parts, it could cost hundreds more.This is my 5th flat screen TV. My oldest Philips plasma TV is still working after close to 8 years. My mother-in-law bought a Vizio plasma TV about 3 years ago, it just died recently too. They must have really poor quality assurance.If you HAVE to purchase this TV, you should buy extended warranty, maybe from a local store. Personally, I would stay away from all Vizio products in the future.Update:In response of last comment, I decided to make an update. I took some time to take apart the entire TV. One of the board had a shorted out IC. It was a board made by LG. Searching the internet showed that there were none in stock at any of the replacement parts vendors. I also found out that it was a common problem with this TV. Without boring every one with technical details, it basically boils down to the power supply exceed the threshold of certain parts, causing they to overheat and burn out. The problem is so wide spread, that the supplier of the parts could up keep up. The price range from $150 to $200 for the board. If you pay some one to do it, the cost would be another $100 to $200 more.At this point, I am just going to drop off the bundle of parts at local Costco warehouse for recycling. The internal parts were mostly made by LG, some were made by Toshiba and other vendors. Vizio is a relatively new company. So this type of integration issue is expected.

Love my new tv

I ordered this TV after hours of reseaching the different brands of Flat Screen LCD (and plasma) TV's. I chose this one based on the excellent reviews that the professional reviewers gave it. Their main comment was that it was a good value for the price. It has a lot of options that you would expect on higher end TV's. It was very easy to hook up too. I'm a 5 foot lady whose husband was out of town when it was delivered. It wasn't too hard or heavy for me to unpack and hook up. Another good thing is that I have not had to use the instruction book at all yet. The buttons on the remote are easy to understand when trying to access different features of the TV.One thing that seems small, but is something I really like is that when you hit the 'on' button, the Vizio logo changes from white to orange so you know the TV received the signal. It only takes a couple seconds for the screen to display, but you could actually turn it back off thinking you didn't hit the button right without that signal.

Good ROI

After plenty search all over the web decide to pull the trigger in this one .. and to be honest, if you are looking for this kind of lamp ( model / style ) you will know there are not many, decent price options .. so I took this one. The item was really well pack, and seller put reinforcements out the box to keep the box all straight which it's awesome and work wonders, cudos for Home and Living ..The hole lamp it's easy to assemble, I would like to see ( have ) it more tall like 10 more inches, but it is what it is .. have on / off switch at the cable which looks nice, it's pretty handy and looks well build .. ( just have it for few days ).Base is good but mine came with small "scratches " in several parts .. and it's not from the shipping, to me it looks like it came like this from factory. You can't appreciate it in the pic but the post came in 3 sections you join em with an internal rod .. which it's ok .. but here is the but .. finish on the post section isn't the best .. again this one it's not hundred lamp piece .. so maybe I'm just asking to much .. ?dunno if I can upload pic of what I'm talking about .. dunno if you are interested in this lamp you can contact me through amazon so I can send you a pic of the lamp ...

I bought this TV specifically for the Netflix app which allowed me to stream live movies onto the tv instead of watching them on my pc. This product is comparable with other brands I had researched in the $850-$1000 price range. The picture quality is GREAT! It was very easy to set up and connect with my wireless router. And in no time I was watching movies and building my watch instantly queue with Netflix. Some of the other reviews mentioned a high pitched whine when the unit is turned off. This must have been addressed by Vizio because I can put my ear to the thing and no noise is there. I love the Yahoo Widget apps and the TV guide app is very handy. Also, with the Pandora Internet Radio app who needs XM/Sirrius especially when played through a surround sound or stereo system. By the way, the remote is as advanced as the unit itself. I have my tv hooked into my Pioneer stereo reciever and was amazed while watching a music DVD that when I left my remote on top of the stereo cabinet and returned minutes later, it had "recognized" my reciever and after that when I raised or lowered the volume of the tv speakers, my stereo speakers raised and lowered accordingly. Can't wait to see what else it can do!

Nice TV...but needed to return to Amazon

This is our first non-CRT television, so it's a big jump from our 20 inch portable.It connected fine to the internet, and we were up and running with all the local channels pretty quickly.The picture seemed a bit dark, but I think it was the broadcast. NetFlix videos were nearly flawless.Our Wii console connected and worked fine. We don't have a DVD player hooked up to it, so I can't speak to the quality of DVD movies (it's in our lower basement level).A couple of things:1. Pandora app: only worked after I disabled the TV's DHCP setting.2. The USB Port is useless - won't show photos. VIZIO Tech Support (very nice, by the way) indicated that the USB port is not activated for this model, but a firmware update will be "coming soon." I don't believe them. I think there is something wrong with this set. I'll try to post an update when I hear something.Overall - I can't say too much about the TV until we've lived with it for a while.Update: After a few days, we noticed that, when turned OFF, the television emitted a high-pitched noise. The noice stopped when the TV was powered back on.After speaking with Vizio tech support (and going through futile "power cycles," Vizio scheduled a warranty service call. It is scheduled for September 30 - I'll update this post with the verdict....Update:The service company just left.They replaced the power board, but the sound is still there (they claim they can't hear it after installing - which is BS).I am going to give VIZIO one more chance to fix the problem, and then the unit's going back to Amazon and I'm getting another brand.This is really too bad, since the TV works great otherwise - Internet apps work great, picture is great.I don't want to say not to buy this TV - just be aware that this has happened to the unit I purchased....Update:Unfortunately we ended up returning this television to Amazon. We purchased an identical unit from Wal-Mart, and it made the same sound. Based on the fact that two TVs and a replaced power board didn't solve the problem, I concluded that this model from Visio will always make the sound and returned it.We purchased a non-internet TV (Sony) and a Roku box. This combination works fine. The Sony isn't nearly as nice as the Vizio, and I need to grab a second remote, but this is an annoyance. We don't watch too much TV anyway, so it's not a big bother.I would recommend Vizio only if you have a chance to return the set. I don't think all Vizio models will have this problem, but you can't be too carefull....

So Far So Good

Just got it and set it up and I am very impressed. The Image quality is really good. We have a 42-Inch 1080p 60 HZ Sharp in the living room and, while this tv is smaller, I think the image quality is superior. I was worried about it being a little small, but as a bedroom TV it works great. We had it set up on a stand for a short while and that was very easy to attach, but now have it mounted. We got this TV because it was the cheapest reasonably sized TV with Internet Apps. The ONLY wire coming out of our TV is the power cord. All we watch are things available through the VIA apps, most notably Netflix Streaming. It really simplifies our bedroom and prevents having the clutter of a blu-ray player, gaming system, etc which we have in our living room setup. I'm very excited for Hulu Plus to come to VIA apps, which is supposed to happen Fall 2010, so....any day now.

High Design / High Performance... the Ferrari of espresso makers

I just got this, and just tried it our for the first time, and I am madly in love with this espresso maker. The look is fantastic, I mean how often do you get to cook with something you're likely to see in the MOMA design wing? However, it's one thing to make a pretty object, but it's another to make a beautiful object that functions better than any other of it's kind: the design is fantastic. It pours without a single dribble, the handle doesn't get hot nor melts like your usual stove top maker, and it's Stainless Steel which means you're not going to leach out any nasty chemicals or flavors. I also love it because it give you the option to make a half batch, allowing this to function as a 3 cup when it's just you or a friend, or a 6 cup when you have company. I almost bought the 10 cup just so I could have the versatility of a 5/10 cup... but i'll never drink that much coffe... I mean it is espresso... which makes the 3/6 size ideal! I had lots of Bialettis when I lived in Italy, but I have a feeling nothing will be better than the espresso I make from my new Stella.

I too have had numerous aluminum stovetop espresso makers over the years, and when another bakelite handle came loose after about one year of daily use, sending its coffee maker into the recycle bin, I decided to try spending a little more for a better product. I finally decided on this one largely because of Marfa's glowing review (and because I thought it downright gorgeous in the photos). Marfa was spot on. This thing functions flawlessly, makes the best coffee I've ever had at home, is easy to clean (still not a trace of calcium sediment after four months of use) and doesn't give me a daily dose of aluminum. Oh, and it's actually more beautiful in person.

finally, a quality espresso maker!

I was hesitant to buy this expensive stove-top beauty with fears it would have the dreadful chemically coated interior water chamber that most 'Made in Italy' makers currently have, but, alas, it's pure stainless steel! The unit is quite heavy and feels high quality. You can see that the cylindrical base is welded/attached to a metal plate to conduct the heat properly. Screwing the top piece on is a bit tedious because you have to get the grooves perfectly aligned...The spout pours very nicely, and the handle does get hot, so I use an oven mitt while pouring it into my cup...My coffee tastes good, but I am not a gourmand, so I have no idea how it 'froths' or tastes in comparison with other stove-top makers....All in all, I'm just happy that the metal is quality and not contaminating my coffee with aluminum or chemical coating, as used on some other units that don't use pure stainless steel....Oh, the one tricky thing that I have yet to figure out completely is that the espresso insert/holder is adjustable inside...It does make it easier to clean, but I have yet to figure out if it is meant to be adjust to add less grounds for a 3 cup vs. a 6 cup...I just push it the farthest down it will go and fill it with coffee to make a strong cup...This unit makes one large cup of coffee for 1 adult...or probably two of those tiny espresso cups for 2 people.Shipping from the supplier was fast and it came in probably only 2-3 days max. via Fedex Ground.

Best Picture Sound not as much

Wow, LED LCD provides a fantastic picture. This set replaced a 26" Vizio that I thought had a great picture. The LED picture is much better and brighter. One thing that is not readily apparent is the power supply.Most televisions have a transformer on the inside that converts 115v or 220v to 12v, this TV uses an external 12v converter/power supply and the 12 v plugs into the back of the set. This might make it easier to install in an RV or other camping/water option. The power supply is about the same size as a Laptop Power Supply.Sound is a bit of a problem. It is somewhere between as good to superior to many other televisions, but it is NOT real surround and does not have a sub woofer, so...Set up: Opened the box, laud TV on bed, took down old TV, swapped out the mount, and had the new set operating within 20 min. Setup was also easy and fast. Weight does not seem that big a deal at first, but this set's weight is slightly LESS than the 26" we replaced, another plus for mobile mounting.If you are wall mounting, be careful to follow the steps to remove the stand neck. Instructions say, "Remove the four (4) screws holding the stand neck, and then remove the neck and base." Well, only two screws are readily visible. The step BEFORE this reads, "Remove the cover on the stand neck," which exposes the other two screws. Removing this cover can be tricky so look first and then proceed with caution.We use this TV as our second set and it is in the master bedroom. I am so impressed that I may replace the main TV before too much longer with the big brother of this set.Overall this TV is well worth the price I paid and Amazon had the best price of any place I checked. I usually spend an inordinate time pricing things prior to purchase and Amazon was well below everyone this time.

We purchased this TV from a large box store to replace the kids's movie/game tube TV.I've heard Vizio is the "quality" budget tv maker. And it seems true based on a friend who purchased a Vizio as well as from what I've read online.I was pleased to have access to LED technology at such a great price. But what I discovered was that the reason Vizio can offer this tv at such a great price is because they have used the very poorest sound technology that they could get away with and not have to call this a computer monitor (which usually ships with no speakers).My iPhone/iPod has better sound quality than this tv. My alarm clock speakers are better than the speakers in this tv. The voices in my crazy neighbor's head come in better quality than the sounds coming from this tv. And there's a reason.Vizio is now also in the soundbar business. They are selling external home theater options, which they obviously mean to sell along with this tv. And that's OK. Some people who purchase this tv will have something already to run the sound through or they may not be bothered by the horrible sound.So the smart shopper thing to do would be to look at other TVs that cost about a hundred bucks more and have ok picture and sound. You will not touch the picture quality of this TV for a hundred bucks more. But you might get a TV that's got ok picture and much better sound for a hundred bucks more (soundbars start at about a hundred bucks. There's one here for sale at 89).So be informed: if you purchase this TV, you are purchasing a monitor with the least quality of sound possible. It's bring your own quality sound. Otherwise you deal with something that looks great but sounds like a transistor radio from the 1920s.

Great Picture... tingy sound.

We bought this 32 inch LED LCD for two reasons, first the price. We got our on Black Friday for $350 which is the same price we paid for a 19" LCD a few years ago. We felt this was an outstanding price for the product. Second, we bought the TV for it's picture quality which is great. I use the product in it's RETAIL picture mode vice hit HOME picture mode (Home dims the brightness automatically as room lighting changes where as RETAIL keeps the brightness at full). The sound is adequate for voice only and is very shallow. We didn't get the sound bar as we already had a stereo system to hook audio up to. If you get this TV you will need something else to boost the sound for movies and most of your other content.

Delicious coffee, looks beautiful, stainless steel

I should give 5 stars for " how good coffee this can make " and i should give 1 star for " how inaccurate product features this have ". This product make 0.5 cup of coffee ( picture ). I have also Nespresso for make hot milk what make my coffee hot even if i add 3/4 milk. Otherwise your coffee will be cold. Im lucky for 2 people its enough. Anyway this product can make best coffee in your home if you dont want to spend $5k for pro machine. Actually Stella-Aroma can be a hard concurrent for expensive machine. Stainless steal is the best way to get better coffee, not aluminium.

I bought this crib bumbers for my sons crib because i like the design. It's very cute next to the dark brown wood. But I don't like how it only tighs on the top because it's scrunched down and comes untighed very easy. I always have to fix it. Other then that there very soft and very cute.

Pretty good

They were very expensive, but well made and comes in a nice, compact case. The Stays are metal, extremely durable and not sharp, so they won't harm clothes. I did have an issue with the long ones - they don't go back into the case as easily as they came out. This might be just an issue with the set I received, I would still recommend and buy again.For $10 more I saw a similar (but more expansive set) at Brooks Brothers at the airport I would consider as well.

Good Saddle

The seat is a bit hard at first as all leather seats, but it's going to get softer after a while.I chose standard shipping and it took about a week.

Good, but not great

I like the Babor Ultra Moisturizing Cream, but I don't love it. It's lightweight and smooth and does a really good job at moisturizing my skin. That said, I have also recently tried other products that moisturize just as well for a lower price. So, I have nothing bad to say about the product, other than that it could be priced lower. I should also note that the other product that I use is of similar quality and is sold at the same spa where I originally found Babor. That said, I also use Babor's face powder facewash and that is by far the best facewash that I've every used.
