stylish, but dim

All in all, this was a great solve for our vintage home with mid-century decor. Completely satisfied with the fan part--just a little wobbling but pretty solid, blades look nice from down below and we get enough air (though we don't usually need full power). Love the wall controls and we had an extra remote from a different ceiling fan that worked with it no problem. The color was fairly close to what i was expecting although the casing over the light was a little bit darker in color then I was thinking (was picturing an ivory color but it looks darker and textured kind of like parchment, which detracts from the modern aesthetic). The major bummer is that despite having two bulbs, it doesn't light the room up enough. The double 40 watt bulbs are notably darker than the one 100 watt bulb I previously had. Needless to say I'm on the hunt for a good reading lamp. :)

Very good, but photo is a bit misleading

I've been looking at various reproductions for a while now, and since other products from this firm were well reviewed, I decided to take one for the team (possibly) and report back.As noted, the photo is somewhat misleading, as it appears to be of an actual Knoll table, or one of the Italian reproductions. The key is that graceful narrowing as the stem approaches the base, and this Lexington table does not have that; also, the "foot" of the base is a bit chunkier. However, it is far, far better than the stovepipe appearance of the Ikea and CB2 offerings. It won't be noticeable in service, so I am satisfied.Attachment of the tabletop to the base isn't quite as elegant, either; here, we have four exposed nuts and threaded studs. Again, they're down underneath and won't be seen by anyone that isn't looking for them. I intend to find some white plastic caps to smooth over their appearance.Quality-wise, it is good overall; no uneven textures, sags/runs, or other flaws in the finish. It is quite glossy, but that matches my knockoff tulip chairs. The fiberglass top is quite heavy, and the mounting studs weren't exactly parallel, but there was ample clearance in the matching holes in the base, so assembly was straightforward. Have someone around to help you lift the top.The item was well-packaged, almost too well; it took some time to hack my way down to the items themselves. Base and top are boxed separately. Delivery was by FedEx Ground, who brought both items up the steps (1 flight) and in the front door.If you are attracted by the price but are on the fence about this, and have seen other reproductions and are okay with potential tradeoffs, I think you will like it (but your Roomba won't).

It looks nice, just don't look too closely for minor imperfections

The table arrived promptly after ordering it, and although well wrapped for the transit, both boxes showed signs of damage incurred during shipping. Upon opening them, the base was badly cracked at the very bottom, and the table top was also scuffed in 3 different spots in a row along the edge. I took pictures, notified the company, and was promptly delivered a second table. This one survived transit much better, the table top had a single tiny scuff spot along the edge, but I can deal with it. I suspect this type of minor damage is a nearly unavoidable product of the packing/shipping.The table is listed as having an aluminum base. While the core of the base may very well be aluminum or some other metal, the outer shell is fiber glass mesh with a lacquer coating baked on. I know this from the cracked one, I could see the construction where the shell was cracked off.The table top surface has a couple minor imperfections which are the result of the lacquering/baking process, but again, nothing significant, you really have to look closely to notice them.Overall, I am happy with the table for the price. I was also happy with the customer service I received upon notifying them of the damaged item.

I absolutely love the table, it is all that I expected and very stable. The only thing is be very careful unpacking it, I had a hard time getting it out of all the packing and put a small 4" SCRATCH on it even though it had lots of protection around it my knife went thru the packing. very happy with the table. really upset at myself for not being more careful after spending my hard earned money.

Very good setup for a beginner

This is the first time that I've ever used a machine to work on the paint of the car. I had been hesitant in the past, but decided it was time to not be scared and take the plungeWe just got a new (to us) car and the previous owner took off bird droppings with a dry paper-towel (OUCH!). The paint was heavily scratched (not through clear coat) in two areas because of this.The best part about this kit is the included book and dvd that show you exactly what to do. The included polish is the 'standard' griots garage polish - meaning that this is what is recommended for most paint conditions. The included wax is their highest quality wax. It is supposed to give the best shine on the car, but will not last as long as their less shiny waxes. All other itmes are the only available of what they do from Griots.I read the book and watched the dvd. After a half day washing, clay-baring, polishing, and waxing the car - I was very impressed with the results. The heavy scratching from the previous owner's ignorance was nearly gone and the shine on the car was amazing.I loved the products enough to convince me to purchase many more items from Griot's Garage - including their wash kit.Edit 9/5/11:After working with this kit and buying many other Griot's products over the past months, I'm still very impressed. I have also been pleased at the life of the included wax, which I was expecting to only last a couple months. It is still going strong, with me using the Griot's Spray On Wax every time I wash the cars.I've used the kit on a friends car that had never been detailed and parked next to a plant that used outdoor spray paint and got over-spray all over the car. The paint felt like sandpaper and some hours with the clay bar and polish brought the shine back and the paint felt like glass.Still highly recommend!

I normally do not review products, but since I was having a hard time figuring out what to order for the front of our Conversion Van and their were no reviews for this product, that I would put one out here.First of all, they came to us very quickly. Since they are made to order, they did come with a pretty strong odor. So we took it out of the packaging and laid it flat for a few days to "air" out. Now the odor is pretty much gone. After placing it in the van, I was amazed at how well it fit, Perfectly! Very nice feel to it and the color was on the dot. Now, we will order more for the rest of the van.

Nice chair for the price

just got our first chair. ordered one before ordering the other to make sure we liked it. while i'm sure this is a knock-off of a much more expensive designer chair it is nice and appears well-built. the base is metal. the chair is molded plastic. the seat cushion is nice. assembly is required and no directions came with the one we received but it was simple enough and no additional tools were required that weren't included.the only ding i'd give it is on some of the curved surfaces there are ripples that i'm assuming are the result of this chair being a knock-off and the production quality isn't quite done with the care and attention of the original.or maybe we just got a bad one. but it's barely noticeable.in the end the chair is good enough for us and i'm ordering a second one right now.

Four of us bought these cots for our camping/fishing trip in Canada. The cots are large and comfortable. Before purchasing we researched quite a bit and spent some time in stores like Cabela's trying several different cots. They all seem to move a bit end to end but most are stable side to side. This cot is quiet, no squeaking when rolling over, etc. and the end to end movement is minimal compared to others. The 20" height makes sliding clothes bags under it easy and saves room in the tent. We had two of these cots in each 10'x10' Kelty Traildome 6 tent with plenty of room to walk between the cots and enough room at each end so the cots didn't touch the walls. The cot was very comfortable with 1.5" memory foam Mattress topper which is probably overkill, but when you're there for a week, why not be comfortable. The foam also helped retain heat on nights with temps in the low 40's. We never got cold. Assembly was not an issue, but I can see where a bit of strength is required to assemble. Although we did not need it, a hammer handle or similar item can be used as a lever to aid in assembly - see videos on YouTube. Breaking the cot down was quick and easy and it packed into its bag easily. After a week on the cot, I think it is a fabulous upgrade from the inflatable mattress we used in past years.

How could you not love a roomy bed. That is just what this cot offers. It is a great camping bed. Fell out of the last cot but this cot you can turn over in the night and not fall out of. It is longer then my regular bed and is very comfortable. Love it.

Big Cot--Big Comfort!

This is pretty darned impressive! The cot is HUGE--nearly seven feet long and nearly 3 feet wide and nearly two feet off the ground. It's not exactly lightweight but for what it is I'm not going to complain. Putting it together may require a long hammer or something else to use a leverage for the end pieces--the fabric tension holds it very tightly together. It is quite comfortable and sturdy. Watch your fingers--be careful and don't get 'em pinched. Go to the texsport website---they show it with three Big Dudes all sitting on it at once with their feet off the ground--it ain't goin' nowhere! I suspect it holds even more than 350lbs judging from the guys in that picture.This was an outstanding buy!

Handles are very weak.

I have read many reviews saying the handles broke off while in use.I decided to go for it because of the price.After delivery I unzipped the interior lining to see how the handles are attached to the case.Well, those reviews were correct, the handles are attached by one small rivet on each side,the flared end of these rivets are so small that they would definitely fail to lift 50 lbs weights !! So I went to Home Depot for some bolts and lock nuts ( size #10-24, 1" long and large washers ), the total cost was 3 bucks. I used a drill with small bit to drill out the rivets from inside, and just replaced with the bolts/nuts. Make sure the washers are installed from the inside, this is what hold the handles to the case in the first place.The whole job took about 15 minutes. You may want to use bigger bolts/nuts to make the handles stronger.Except for the handles, these suitcases ( I got both the 20" and 24" wide body cases) are lite. I think the wide body style is easier to fit into overhead than the normal 22". I don't know how long the material will last. I have only used it once ,the wheels, the retractable handle are OK. One small problem, I tried to pull it thru the aisle on an airbus plane, it was too tight, so I hand carry it. Happy to report the handle did not break !

nice chair

I really like this chair a lot. I purchased it for several reasons, One being the seat height. I have a very tall desk with the computer high on a platform. This chair can lift me to the height I needed though my feet rest on the legs. It doesn't not lean back very much and the knob to adjust the tilt is kind of difficult to twist thats why I am giving it only 4 stars. The first chair I received had a broken hydraulic. However, the company sent me a new chair in less than a week. It was not at all a hassle so I am happy about that. I am a petite girl of 5'1'' and 115 lbs. I think the chair fits me just perfectly. The arms are not adjustable and the height is just fine for me. My friend who is 6'7'' and slender found the chair comfortable as well. I do not think this chair would be good for a person who is overweight as the width between the arm rests is only 20''. It is a very solid chair, well built and simple to put together. I had help but could have easily done it alone. I do think an extra hand to hold the parts makes it a little easier though. Our assembly time was less than 5 minuets and all the tools and screws are provided. There is no manual, only pictures. Some may find that advantages and some not. Overall it is a very nice chair especially for the price and I am happy with this purchase.

it's ok

Fairly comfortable, but when I finished building it, the backrest is crooked. The imperfection is cosmetic only. I also don't like that it doesn't go back very far. It's an ok chair; I'd recommend it if you just need something inexpensive and quickly, as I did.

Trimark 54" Ceiling Fan is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

I purchased this white ceiling fan for the interior entrance into my home. Somany people upon entering my home remark on the beauty of this fan. The lineson this fan in a picture do not do it justice. It comes with a wall unit/remotethat easily turns on the fans or light. Prior to shopping at various lightingplaces including Home Depot and Lowe's and noting their prices, this Trimark fan is so competiviely priced for the quality and style of this unit compared to any other fans of this style.
