thinner than I expected, but good

I have visited Japan and slept on traditional futons before, but it helped that the places I stayed had the proper bedding materials and tatami floors. Using this with my usual bedsheets and comforter on a hardwood floor is not quite the same experience.

Will be useful - just not for what I wanted...

This is a well constructed product that is heavy and thick. It is comfortable enough but not enough to sleep on every night (I was looking for something ot make my bed softer) as it is a little 'hard' like any futon. That said, I'm glad I have it as it will be useful for lounging or slumber parties. though I don't really know how I will clean it...

Sweet Birdbath

After I installed this birdbath, 3 neighbors came to see it and asked for the information to order one for themselves. The rock is very realistic looking even though it is sculpted. The birdbath comes in three pieces which are very easy to put together and requires no tools. It weighs enough, 30 pounds, to not blow over. The pump comes with a converter and you can use electric or just solar. If you wish it to run all night, then the converter switches it to electric power. Since I placed mine in a location without an electric outlet, I just use solar power. I placed it in a sunny southern location and it runs all day long. IT has a nice bubbling sound and good water return. The two little birds perched on the rims come with the birdbath. They are cedar waxwings, although not true to size, they are very nice looking and people comment on them. The birdbath arrives very well packed so I can't imagine breakage is much of a problem in shipment. We can have very high winds in our area so I placed some rocks around the base which blended well with the finish. After about a month, the pump stopped one day, so I cleaned out the basins and let it dry out for a day and the next day refilled it and it has worked perfectly since then. Like all birdbaths, it needs to be cleaned of debris. I really love the charm of this birdbath in my yard.

Suntastic Birdbath Fountain

This solar birdbath fountain is exactly what it claims to be. It fits in with my landscape beautifully and the solar panel is sensitive so that a minimal amount of sunlight activates it. It has an AC backup but I do not use it since my fountain is out in my garden. AC works well. It is unobtrusive and I recommend everyone to purchase it if they want to save $$$ and have an Eco-friendly, bird-happy fountain.

Proper Good Speakers

Having owned some Logitech Z323 speakers ($70) in the past, I wanted a system with a more uniform bass distribution, better looks, and better set-up. These provide all that with a "downward" bass design that makes for a really fully bodied sound, silver coloring that goes great with my Macbook Pro (2009), and a satellite volume control that isn't attached to the speakers themselves along with plenty of cable. Moreover, after testing the delivery across multiple genres, e.g. classical, rock, house, I can say that this a speaker system for all purposes. Overall, the product is great, and I'm really happy about the investment.Seeing some negative reviews about this product, I think I should say two things to help other who debate the decision process for ages like me. First, my delivery was spot on, and in fact was two full days earlier than expected. I bring this up because I know there is some temptation amongst buyers (myself included) to not consider a product with bad service reviews. Do not be dissuaded then as these are definitely worth it, even if an extra 2-3 days are necessary. Second, whether this is a new or first set of speakers, I should say that there is a balance that needs to be met between the volume on the system itself and whatever is providing the sound, e.g. computer, iPod, etc. To explain, I've noticed that if I don't turn my computer volume up to about 30%+ the bass on the speakers doesn't really come through as well. Do not think that this is the case with just these speakers as I know that this happens with all sound systems. As such, play around with balancing the system's volume against the plugin's volume and you will be sure to get a full-bodied sound.Enjoy the music!

Better than good, but not Great.

These speakers are a birthday gift from my Hubby. I like the way they look. I like the touch on/off switch on the woofer. LOVE the wired controller knob with the headphone input! They sound really, really good. Good bass, middle and highs. I'm just a little put off at the fact that they don't get louder. I have cheaper speakers that do, albeit they distort, but for the price these should get at least as loud as my cheap speakers and NOT distort. I'm overall happy with them and won't be sending them back or anything, just a fyi for any audiophiles out there: these are probably not the best speaker bang for your buck.

Great Speakers

Sounds great, looks great! A lot of sound from this small set. Woofer puts out good base from beneath desk and desktop speakers provide excellent highs and mids. Corded volume control makes adjusting the volume a breeze without having to reach across the desk to to the speakers.

Very nice cooler. I expected to save $70.00 in ice this summer, but I am already saving money. The seller was great and on time. The only thing to be aware of is the naming. For example, 35 does not mean quarts. This cooler is only 28.8 quarts.

i've been sleeping on this futon for a few weeks now and i love it. i was going to get a sofa sleeper as a bed for my tiny apartment but now i've decided to save the space and use this as my bed. it's not too hard and not too soft, and it rolls up easily into a bundle the size of a large sleeping bag. i originally got it so my family could have somewhere to sleep when they visit-- and before i found it i'd already got a couple of twin-size foldable mattresses, but this futon is much more comfortable, and about 30 percent cheaper. but do note that while you can unzip the material, there's loose stuffing inside so plan on using sheets regularly and not washing it. another plus-- the ship date was a month away but it actually came in just a few days.

Not very cushioned and sort of bumpy!!!!

This floor mattress is not the best for a floor alone. It is probably meant for use on a futon but the title is misleading. It is titled floor futon mattress and other reviewers stated it was good on the floor alone. Well maybe on a carpeted floor but I tried it out on a hard wood floor and it was bumpy and felt like I was on a pile of uneven blankets on the floor. I had to return the item and the company did not refund my $$ until I emailed them to ask when I would receive my refund (kind of weird). I would not recommend this item for anyone thinking of using it on a hard wood floor. I cant say the condition of it on a carpet. I just felt like I was on the floor without much cushioning and the material inside was bumpy and not smooth like a mattress should be. I am going back to my air mattress.

Chemical off-gassing that isn't dissipating

I bought this hoping it would be less toxic than buying a new mattress. Unfortunately, it's been over a month and the chemical off-gassing smell doesn't go away. (I've had it airing outside.) I believe there are laws in CA that require all mattresses to be treated with flame retardants. I was hoping a product like this would be exempt, but apparently it's not. It seemed like too much money would have been spent on shipping, if I sent it back. So I plan on giving it away. The upside is I am now sleeping on the floor on top of a blanket. I learned this is actually the healthiest way to sleep. The first few nights are a little sore as the body is stretching, but then it's comfortable.

Comfort vs. Smell

I love the thickness and look of this futon. It is very comfortable and practical. My concern is that there were no care instructions and it smells really strong (a bugspray-like smell). After I took a little nap on it I had to shower and change... I wish I could hear back from the manufacturer on how to get rid of the smell - then it would be perfect! ;)

perfect for us

I purchased this for my preschooler's bedroom, as it's a small room and even a twin bed would have been a tight squeeze. I love being able to roll the bed up and give him more room to play. I am using twin sheets, with sheet suspenders to hold them in place. The twin sheet length is actually perfect, but they are wider than the mattress, hence the suspenders. My mattress does not have a strong smell, thankfully. I was a little concerned about that, based on the reviews, but it hasn't been an issue. I also purchased a washable cover on ebay.

I bought this for my apartment while I am at college. It has a strong but not unpleasant smell at first. This fades quickly, though it hasn't gone away entirely, and is not a problem if you use sheets. It is surprisingly comfortable -- although the wood floor is noticeably hard beneath the futon, I sleep comfortably and do not wake up sore. I have tried sleeping directly on the floor and this is a huge improvement. I plan on using this for the rest of my time at college. It is more portable and cheaper than a bed. I took off one star for the smell.

Quality product, but VERY tight fit

I have an OMP Speed 10 (size XL) and Hans. The Hans does not fit in this bag as described (attached to helmet), there's no way. I found another way to fit the Hans plus helmet (helmet wedged at bottom of bag, helmet orientated just so on top), but it couldn't be a tighter fit. . . be forewarned. Otherwise the helmet bag looks nice and seems well constructed.

relief at last

I initially purchased this to try as an economical solution for my apartment. After a few nights I have been in bliss on this futon. I had back surgery a few years ago and have had trouble finding a bed or couch I am really comfortable on and can still wake up without feeling like an old man. From the first night on this futon I have slept well and felt great when I got up. It saves a lot of room as I fold it up when I get up in the morning. Shipping took less than a week by fed-ex. I would have given it a full 5 stars; however, as others have reviewed on this futon in the other colors and coverings, it does have an odd chemical odor that could be troublesome to someone sensitive to that sort of thing. Perhaps as others have surmised, it has to do with fire retardant treatments. I hope it does fade eventually, but if it doesn't it is not a deal breaker for me.

Simple, functional, compact

I bought this for my primary sleeping arrangement which may differ from most interested buyers.The image shows it partially unrolled and rolled up. It's dimensions are in the product description but I find its length of 80" to be a good feature.People have noted for this and other colours its smell. Mine did not have any strong odour and what I did smell was completely inoffensive. Maybe the maker altered it, or there are other variables, but a strong odour, or any noteworthy odour, is not universal given mine lacks it.For those comfortable on firm surfaces, this futon will probably be comfortable. For those not comfortable on firm surfaces, one will likely find this too be too thin.My main use of it is not padding, but insulation from the floor. It does compress under pressure (under hips and shoulders for normal posture) to the point where there is little padding at all.It seems more bright than the picture shows although this doesn't matter for me, if one is judging this by their colours, then they may not be true to appearance.

Very comfortable. Nice and firm. Good thickness and compact when it is folded.It arrived within 10 days of my order. It was shipped from CA. A chemical odor is noticeable when first opened it but not that bad, it is bearable in an apartment room. Because of previous reviews, I was prepared for it. Upon opening, I aired it out for 5 days before using it. There is a zipper all around (three sides), so I unzipped it at times when airing out. Laid flat on three wooden chairs, using the back of the chairs to air both sides of the mattress. On the 6th day when I used it, the smell is almost gone unless you snugged your nose in the mattress and try to smell it, then a dash of odor will still be there.I've been using this for two weeks only, every day. Sometimes sitting on it during day time on a couch, or rolled it and use it as a back support. Sleep on it every night. So far so good. As time goes on, it may get flattened like any other mattresses, losing its strength somewhat. I am not sure whether I can fluff it back to get some thickness back then. To a certain degree, I believe I could.If I have a need or a reason to buy a comfortable and compact mattress, I will buy this product again.

iLuv Case for iPhone 4

Best case I've had for my iPhone 4. The main reason I chose it was because of the space allowed on the back for the camera lens and flash. With other cases, I found there was not enough space which affected flash photos, and I ultimately had to remove the case to make sure the flash photos would turn out right. No problem with this case. Sturdy materials yet compact, and very attractive.

Best line available

This fishing line is far and away the best line I've ever used. I've tried so many types of mono, fluoro, and even other brands of braided line, but Stren's sonic braid and super braid are easily the best. No special knots, no stretching, no coiling, no slipping, and so far, no breaking. The strength of the line is amazing compared to it's thickness. This stuff is so thin that I use 20lb line on my ultralight rod. Truly great stuff.

I've only ever had Power Pro and Stren, but I think I like the castability of Stren more than the PowerPro. They seem to be equal to one another in strength, and quality wise, both are good, high quality lines, but if you ask me, Stren casts further.Use a fluorocarbon leader! I use a 4 foot one, 6 lbs. However, I'd tie my hardbaits directly onto the braid so they don't snag in salad in the water.

BEST line I have ever used! It will not break! If you use a leader line, that will break first. This will not! Wow, so happy Ipurchased it. I will never use another line. Thanks!
