Great camera

I bought this camera as an anniversary gift for my wife, based on Consumer Reports and users' reviews and its 12 MP and 10X capabilities w/ shift stabilization. We weren't disappointed. The camera is easy to use, compact (my wife wanted one to carry in her purse), no sticking buttons, great low light and close up capabilities. We've had it almost a month and so far highly recommend it as a step up from the typical beginner, under $100.00 digital camera.

Great Grab!

After all the reasearch and comparing, I'm glad I didn't spend more for similar function and features on a pricier camera. My use is for real estate, largely interior room shots and it is a gem to work with! It has the (forced) and (low) flash options I need, in addition to the wide variety of autofocus choices, I can easily change-up in between shots. Love that I can tote it everday in my bag and always have it at the ready, too. Overall, I'm impressed and that's not someting I say all too often :)

Great in low light

Not only does this subcompact have a 10X optical zoom.... it has optical image stabilization (kinda necessary for that kind of zoom). Also, I found that it works very well fully zoomed in lower light situations, such as concert halls.

This kit is compact, waterproof, and contains critical items needed for basic survival/rescue. You're going to have difficulty feeding or watering yourself though without a knife, basic fishing kit/snares, and some sort of lifestraw. Just a thought for the makers of this kit.

Rapeseed Oil BAD, Lard GOOD

It's impossible to find lard in your local supermarket due to "political correctness". Only vegetable oil. If the label says the vegetable oil is made from soybean, cottonseed or Canola oil; it's Canola, at 1/3rd the price.Want your food to taste as good as Grandma used to make? Get Lard. Your health leaders are telling you Canola oil is better for you. You might want to check out Rapeseed oil on Google. Don't even think about using Canola oil in your turkey fryer. See what happens to Rapeseed oil when it goes past 175 degrees F. Get this stuff, get some Ore Ida waffle fries, live a little.

Used Demarini in the past for boys HS Baseball. Bat is for daughter who plays high level travel ball in Florida mostly in 18 under tournaments throughout central and southern Florida (she is on a 16 under team).Purchased based on many independant reviews on the web. I did my best to disregard manufacture and store sales reviews.This bat has lived up to the hype. End loaded, but still swings like a balanced bat, very good pop right out of the package, and will only get better with use. The grip fits; even for girls that do not have large hands. Don't really care about the looks, but I guess girls do? It is a good looking bat from what the the other girls are saying. Not a huge fan of 2 piece bats, but my experience in boys baseball and the reviews I have read about this bat have convinced me that my concerns are un-warranted. The bat is available in -9 and -10. I chose the 32 -9 because of my daughters strength level. Based on the swing speed I do not see much difference in two - thus I am glad I went for the drop 9.Purchased it online through Amazon and saved 40 dollars on the price and even more due to free shipping. The bat is pretty hot and discounts are few. It took me about a week of searching before I found the deal, so be patient if you want to save some cash. The bat arrived on the day it was sheduled unblemished and packaged properly. This bat is everything it is advertised and more.

AWESOME BAT! EXTREMELY PLEASED!

My daughter plays 12U for a travel softball team. She was in a hitting slump up until a couple of months ago. She was coming out of her slump, with her old bat, popping singles, and she barely made it to 1st base. We were happy she was at least making contact. I read reviews on this bat, and thought, maybe, if she could just get a little distance on her hit, her confidence would sore and she would become better at the plate. She was cranking them to the outfield, and has been every time she is up to bat! Her confidence has soared! She is very confident at the plate, and is hitting the ball so much more! Beats Buying a New Laptop

When I had cracked my old LCD a while ago, I had almost considered buying a new laptop altogether. Finding a replacement screen showed me it would have been a waste. My screen looks better than ever, with no more "black spots." My only issue is the screen flashes black when I switch between battery power and AC Adapter, instead of dimming/brightening like my old one (It could be my adapter, however).

About time someone built a jack for REAL CAMPERS!!!

So I have a 33' Keystone that tips the scales at 6800lbs empty. Tongue weight was 780 dry. So the 2000lb tongue jack sounds like it's more than enough. However anyone who's ever used a weight distributing hitch eventaully puts 2 and 2 together and figures out that lifting up the back end of a full size pickup is A LOT of weight. And then you remember that you never camp without gear and the pickup bed almost always has wood so that 2k lb rating all of a sudden seems just plain wimpy. My tongue at last check was a hair heavy of 950 and the gear in the bed more than covers the slack. After 4 seasons of abuse, the 2k lb'er finally cranked its last inch. I knew that I wasn't going to be any nicer to my next one so I decided to search for something with some genuine capacity. If your in the same boat as me then you've found your jack...Lift is the same as my stock model (if not, perhaps an inch shorter.) The triple bolt pattern used has been around for at least 40 years so this should be a universal replacement for any 2-1/4" tongue jack. The crank speed is a little slower but A LOT smoother and easier compaired to my original. What this means in real world terms is that it actaully takes less time to lift the tongue since your not wearing yourself out. The jack retracts nice and high for travel, clearance even with a jack foot shouldn'd be a problem. It doesn't come with a foot, but they're availible for around $10 here on amazon. All-in-all, price vs. performance, this one is a home run!

Changed it out pretty quick with the one locked up on my 1971 Airstream. I went with a higher weight limit to make cranking easier. The sidewind is awesome; it now keeps me from smacking my knuckles on the propane cover with each revolution of the top crank jack. It is seemingly built stout and will hopefully serve me well for a long time to come.
