3Very nice case, BUT.....
By David G. Yocum Jr.
Bought the 46" for my AR-10 with scope. The case is very well made, very well padded, stiffness in all the right places, BUT.... the mag pouches (one of the reasons why I bought it) are worthless. They are way too small to fit any rifle mag other than a .22 or a 9mm. What good are the pouches if you can't use them? I didn't think about that when I bought it since Armalite sells the same bag on their website, one woud think since they make .223 and .308 rifles the darn pouches are big enough for their mags...... guess not.CONCLUSION: I'm looking around for a comprable bag, if found this baby is going back no matter how much I like the case itself.EDIT: Looked on Armalite's web site again about the bag.. they claim a .223 mag will fit.... don't see how since the pouches are small and I don't have a .223 mag to test it.ADDITIONAL INFO:Emailed Galati International about the small pouches. Here's the reply:"Hello Mr Yocum,Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We checked, and it looks like on the last production run, they did make the mag pouches a bit smaller in error. It will be addressed in our next production run, but unfortunately that is not scheduled until the end of July/early August."I asked if they has a .308 version"No, we don't offer a different version. However, the older versions of this case did fit the .308 mags. And the next production run will fit the .308 mags as well.If you can wait, we can just switch it out for you when we do our next production run. However, it won't be until the end of summer."Guess I'll put the bad back in the box and wait to get it replaced by them directly, instead of dealing with shipping it back to Amazon.com get a refund and then repurchase it from Galati International.

5Durable Case.
By Thomas E. Sterle
Good quality case. A little stiff, but I think it will soften up after regular use. Pouches only fit 1 mag each. A little disappointing, was hoping to get 2 mags in each.

2It "feels" like it is upside down. Mag pouch very tight for M1A mags
By rlj4214
This bag is well constructed and has adequate padding. The construction seems very sturdy.BUT...I know this is gonna sound a bit strange, it's upside down. This was purchased for an M1A with a Basset Machine rail type scope mount and a Trijicon AccuPoint 2.5-10x56 30mm Rifle scope TR22-G (Green Dot). The only way this rifle will fit comfortably is if it is put scope down in the bag. When you try to set the bag down it puts the weight of the rifle (substantial) on the scope, and of course with the angle of the bag on the bottom, it doesn't set down very well. Now this may not make a huge difference to some of you, but with a $800 + scope. I have this sort of phobic thing about putting it upside down in the bag.The pocket for other items holds my collapsible bi-pod OK, bit it's a bit tight, and will not fit in the bag mounted.Because it is upside down, the butt of the rifle sits in a sorta odd position. If you turn the rifle over, it barely fits due to this configuration.Additionally with the rifle right side up, the but sits against and rubs the butt stock on the zipper. Result, a scratched butt stock. This is a -1 MOA match grade gun and is pretty pricy. It's not the most beautiful thing in the world but it is one of my favorite rifles, 20+ years old, ~14 lbs and I will say the scratch from the zipper was pretty irritating. If it was a compost stock, it wouldn't matter but it is Walnut and like I said, heavy. "This is my rifle, there are many others like it, but this one is mine" and this one, is a lot more accurate than the others I have shot.I took 2nd place against the Texas State Highpower champ several years ago at my very first and only, Highpower match. Not bad, but boring, at least to me. I like USPSA much better, but that is another story. (Move over G. David Tubb, yeah right. :-) )The case is really too big for my AR in the length I got, 47" I believe it is, so it will likely end up sitting or sold to somebody that this does not bother. In short if the orientation of the rifle doesn't bother you, you should be fine, if it does well I guess you go to a hard case as I did, or a bag that is upright.Like I said, this is a little strange to be picky about the orientation of the rifle I guess, but I would have bought something else if I had thought about it a bit more.Shoot well.Gun control is a ragged hole.

And my wife says these look great. Many of the Wave line shoes are kind of ugly but these even work in an office.

The shoes may look a little funky, but they are the most comfortable dress shoes I have ever worn. I occasionally have problems with my back when standing on hard surfaces for a period of time, but not in these shoes. A great product.

5Quality worth the cost
By andrewm
There are plenty of less expensive bags available on Amazon, but this is an instance where quality is worth the extra cost. The Galati Gear Drag Bag is very well constructed from the seams to the zippers to the heavy duty snaps. This is a bag that will last for years. You won't be disappointed.

Very durableI measured the length of my long gun(s) and discovered the longest was 42 inches. When I got the bag, I discovered the fits the gun like a glove. Enough inner and outer pockets for all the acces and ammo. This is my Go To long gun bag.

4galati drag bag 62-inch
By scott
The first use was at deer camp. Loaded up rifle and bipod and all accessories quality of the straps and zippers as well the material thickness was as i expected for a drag bag admittedly i wont be using it as a true drag bag but the material strength is there. The back pack straps and other pockets are definitely able to handle my big rifle. Would recommend this product to others to purchase.

4Great Machine and looks amazing!
By Aaron
This thing is great. It's made with real wood, and it looks damn cool to watch in the dark. It gives off an authentic 50s feel and as such, I made sure to load up my ipod with a 50s playlist exclusively for use with the ijuke. The speakers pump out sound good and clear, I've heard complaints on some of the cheaper models that the speakers are bad, but on this model I can't hear any static or distortion from the speakers, although it does have some plugs in the back to hook up to external speakers if you'd like. Some complaints though, there isn't an external jack for non-ipod mp3 players, so I had to buy one for this; also after about a day I noticed the speakers got very quiet and it got hard to hear my music. I fixed this by muting and then unmuting it, but it worries me that the speakers could give out unexpectedly even though it's working fine now. The biggest complaint I have is that it's only possible to control the machine with the remote that comes with it. It has two awkwardly placed buttons on the inside for turning the machine and the lights on and off, but controlling the cd player and the volume all requires the remote. If you ever lose the remote or it breaks for some reason, you're screwed. It wouldn't have hurt to add some manual controls onto the machine itself so I don't have to worry about losing the remote some day. Conclusion: A great buy that's aesthetically pleasing. A few complaints, but overall I'm completely happy with it and I suggest it to anyone that's a fan of the 50s such as myself. Nothing says class like listening to smooth 50s rock while sipping coke out of a glass bottle.

2iJuke
By reneelyn
My husband bought 2 of these for our boys at Christmas. They look cool, but the quality of the speakers is very poor...Our complaint is with the iPod's. When you attempt to dock the iPod, it is very touchy and half the time we cannot get it to work. Cool to look at, the CD player works fine, but iPod docking station and the speaker quality is crap...

4Good boots for the price
By Leslie Irwin Stewart
These boots have an elegant design with a very nice Spanish top. The zippers appear to be sturdy, though lighter weight than other brands I've owned. However, I have found that hefty zippers last no longer than lighter ones. The zipper comes down really low which has thus far made the boots somewhat painful to put on. But that may resolve with wear. The boots feature nice spur rests on either side of the zipper, gussets along the length of the calf to give a closer fit, and very nice rubber soles. The only thing I dislike about the boots is the quality of the leather. It is not, as the description states, super soft. It is, rather, quite stiff which gives it an inexpensive feel. I suspect that when these break in they will have sharp lines and micro creases because of the stiffness (though I intend to use a very good conditioner on them). I will say that the lining is a very nice, soft leather, like calf skin. So, overall I would say that these are a very nice boot for the money (though I just received them and have yet to ride in them). I bought these because I'm dead tired of buying more expensive boots and having the zippers break on them after a couple of years (even with meticulous care!!!). Replacing zippers in my area costs as much as buying new boots. So these are the kind of boots you can enjoy until the zippers break and then not feel too bad when they do.

4Release The Kraken!
By Ed
Does Logitech ever sleep? They seem to churn out new and improved peripherals at an unsustainable pace. Yet, here we are. The long-time peripheral maker is at it again and has unleashed the Kraken upon the PC gaming world. The new Logitech wireless G700 gaming mouse is most definitely a monster. In a good way.PROS:- Highly accurate tracking (5700dpi max)- User replaceable AA rechargeable Eneloop battery- 13 programmable buttons for each of 5 profiles- Matte finish easy to grip- Reasonably comfortable- Hybrid mouse (corded mousing ability)- Includes USB extension cable for wireless receiverCONS:- Charge only via powered USB port- On the heavy side- Slightly elevated slope might be uncomfortable to some- Does not include a unifying receiverSometimes the packaging tells you everything about the product. I have owned countless Logitech mice and I'm very familiar with the packaging. A nice touch on the G700 is a tab that allows you to slide everything out of the box more easily without trashing the box. The G700 for me, is a replacement for my wired Logitech G9 Mouse, which replaced my older wireless Logitech G7 Mouse. I had used the G9 in conjunction with a Logitech MX Revolution wireless mouse, but I can safely say I no longer need 2 different mice for gaming and for general use.COMFORTThe G700 is nearly as comfortable as the MX Revolution, to me. The G700 however, is higher at the peak of it's slope, with a higher backside than the MX Revolution. My fingers do not rest as comfortably down on the left/right buttons because my palm is more elevated than on the MX Revolution. It is more substantial than the G9 but more comfortable in my opinion. The one thing I wish were still possible in the G700 is the adjustable weight system that the G9 used. It's a bit on the heavy side and I would have preferred being able to set my own weight.TRACKINGIf you're a spec geek, you'll be happy to know that the tracking resolution on the G700 is a bountiful 5700 dpi. The G7 was rated at 2000 dpi and the G9 at 3200 dpi. I'm not sure why they couldn't use their Darkfield Laser technology on the G700. Perhaps it was a required compromise to keep the cost down from the already hefty price tag or perhaps it's not even possible. The Logitech Performance Mouse MX's resolution is still good at 1500 dpi, but not quite up to par with most gaming mice. Regardless, I had no problems tracking with the G700 and on-the-fly dpi changes were quick and easy. There have been some chatter online about the G700 having problems with small, precise movements that are key to FPS games. I can say confidently that I don't have these problems. The SetPoint software I downloaded from Logitech did apply an update to the mouse though, so perhaps it was a firmware update to address this issue. I'm currently on firmware version 22.35.CUSTOMIZATIONI have to say that the individually sculpted buttons on the G700 have been done as tasteful as you could want for a mouse with THIRTEEN buttons. There are 4 by the thumb, 3 by the forefinger, 3 for the scroll wheel, 1 under the scroll wheel, and of course, the left and right buttons. The scroll wheel is the highly vaunted hyper-fast scroll wheel that can scroll freely. The button directly under the wheel allows you to easily switch to the ratcheting style scroll and back. All the buttons are placed in easy to reach positions and all are customizable with the SetPoint software. The G700-specific SetPoint options are separated from the keyboard so you won't see a tab for it if you happen to use a Logitech keyboard as well. The options in SetPoint are laid out well and easy to configure. From what I can tell, once you have written the configurations to the mouse's memory, you can use them on any computer without SetPoint. Great for LAN parties if you don't travel with your own rig. By default, the G700 comes with 3 profiles in which you can set different functions for each button. You can even add 2 more profiles, giving you a total of 5 profiles of 13 functions. That equates to a possible 65 different functions for your mouse. A mouse! You can keep track of which profile you are using with the LED indicators on the side.WIRELESS PERFORMANCEIt's been a long time since I have had a wireless Logitech mouse give me problems with lag or stuttering and the G700 is no exception. I placed the nano receiver into the back of my desktop computer, which is located on the floor, under my desk. Logitech includes an extension cradle for receiver use, but I didn't need to use it. I have a cordless phone on the same desk as well as a single-band wireless N router.BATTERY LIFELogitech gets bonus points from me for their innovation in the battery department here. First, the rechargeable battery is not only removable, but it's a standard AA NiMH battery that you can pick up for a buck or two anywhere. But wait, there's more! I flipped open the battery compartment to replace the rechargeable with my own Sanyo Eneloop low self-discharge battery and what did I see? A Sanyo Eneloop low self-discharge battery already IN the mouse! Now that is what I'm talkin' `bout Willis! It was low out of the box however so I needed to charge it right away. The battery in the old G7 mouse was actually quite a pain. It was a proprietary battery that you would swap out of the charging receiver, daily. Not only that, but replacements were impossible to find from Logitech. I'm not finished; the innovation doesn't stop there! Logitech included a micro-USB charging cable that inserts quickly and easily into the front of the G700 so that you can use it as a wired mouse while the battery is charging! Though Logitech marketing elected not to call it a hybrid mouse, that's exactly what the G700 is. Apparently the more expensive Razer Mamba has this hybrid ability as well. As should be expected, battery life doesn't come close to matching the old MX Revolution. However, the added flexibility of user replaceable batteries along with the charging/data cord option makes up for the shorter life, in my opinion.MISCI like the rough matte finish on the G700 as a matter of personal taste. It doesn't look as classy as my MX Revolution, but it also doesn't smudge like the MX Revolution. My one hope is that the finish doesn't peel like the precision grip on the G9 often did.The other thing I noticed is that the nano receiver is not a unifying receiver. The unifying receiver is something Logitech has been touting heavily for the past year or two. This would have been nice in case you were using a Logitech wireless keyboard too, since the G700 already takes up 2 USB ports. I figure that Logitech wanted to avoid any complaints about performance due to sharing the bandwidth of a single USB port so they elected to leave out the unifying feature for their gaming hardware.SUMMARYThe Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse G700 is a fantastic wireless gaming mouse, especially for MMORPG games. It works well enough to also be a great everyday mouse. If you're really happy with your current mouse, I'm not sure it's worth forking down the Benjamin for the G700. But, if you don't like your curent mouse for some reason or it's on its last legs, I say go for it. Sure, it could be lighter and more comfortable and have better battery life, but you're also gaining so much more. I personally have packed up my G9 and MX Revolution. In fact, I'd been holding off on getting Starcraft II for a while now and it looks like I have a great reason to finally go get it.

5Best gaming mouse I've ever used
By P. Tran
I received my mouse about a week ago, and have been putting it through the rounds. Before using this mouse, my main gaming mouse was the Logitech G7. It was a really great mouse for its time.Compared to the G7, the G700 has a much better feel to it. The surface is rough, instead of smooth and slick like the G7, so all your finger gunk doesn't get on there. All of the buttons on the G700 can be identified just by feeling them. They seem very natural to click. The accuracy of this mouse is insane. I use it at 1000 reports/sec on max gaming power mode. Usually with a new mouse it takes time to get used to it, but this mouse just seemed so natural to me that I got used to it right away. It's slightly better than the G7, but it's *much* more consistent/reliable in its movement than the Performance mouse MX (which I use on my laptop). I mostly play league SC2 (diamond 1v1) so this is very important to me.The battery lasts 3-5 hours in this max gaming mode before you have to plug in the usb cable. At this point, it becomes a wired mouse instead of a wireless mouse. I kind of miss the old G7 design where you would just swap batteries all the time, so it would be wireless full time. You can do that with this mouse too I suppose, since it takes a normal AA battery. You just have to buy some rechargeable AA batteries and charge some while you're playing.

5A Great mouse, not just for Gamers
By Dimitrios Tolios
Logitech G700 ReviewPROS:- Good tracking / High Precision (5700dpi max, read further)- Nano Receiver- Good ergonomics: I personally like the G700's shape and feel. I don't think it's heavier than it needs to be for a solid, positive movement and I can use it for hours, even corded without strain.- The 13 buttons can be programmed for 5 different profiles - Using Setpoint 5.44.5 works like a charm. The tactile feel of them is fine for my needs. I would prefer less of clicking noises using left / right and center mouse buttons.- Finishing is great matte black - less cheesy than the G500 or other "gaming mice". Probably a Con for ppl that like showing off, but...- User replaceable AA rechargeable Eneloop battery.- You can charge it while you use it. The "wired" mode transition is seamless - at least with the drivers I've used - but some reviewers disagree on that. Setpoint 5.44.5 on Win 7 64bit never produced a freeze or loss of settings while hot-plugging the USB cable while the mouse was used.- Matte finish easy to grip. Feels "different" than the normal rubber padded mice, but will probably last longer too. Grip is quite positive, no concerns.- Includes USB extension cable for wireless receiver - more of a desktop user easement. Range is great for laptop use, works out to 3 feet / 1 meter easily, never had need for more.CONS:- Big, not ideal for slipping it in your laptop's slim carrying messenger bag, but nothing terrible. <- actually I do carry it around in my slim messenger belkin, but that's me...- Noisy clicks...I would prefer it more subtle for "stealth" gaming. Hard for someone to miss what you are doing with loud blazing clicks when in the heat of battle!- Charge only via powered USB port (well, I wouldn't like to drag a docking station around, so, no biggie)- Slightly elevated slope might be uncomfortable to some - definitely not a "claw"-grip. Works Ok with my middle-sized hands.- Does not include a unifying nano-receiver (guess the "G series" nano provides faster response? nothing i can feel tho)- Battery life is nothing to talk home about, but not terrible, and you can replace it almost on the fly (or hook the USB cable). On par or better with most high performance mice, that are tied to Li-Ion proprietary battery packs. This review follows almost 3 weeks after the mouse has been purchased.Main thoughts -- Productivity PerformanceUsed the G700 in a variety of applications, mainly design programs and games. The 5 available profiles work a charm and you can program the driver to "sense" the application's .exe and switch profiles on the fly: switching between say - Autodesk Revit and SketchUp to Adobe Illustrator and back for copy-pasting etc, the software follows you switching profiles seamlessly, altering assigned macros for the thumb / side buttons. Each profile can have it's own DPI setting and DPI steps that you can then hard-set on the fly on the mouse. The profiles are stored on the mouse's internal mem-bank too, so you take those settings with you to use on multiple PCs.- Gaming PerformanceThe real performance difference is in games tho, where you really feel the increase in precision despite the dpi used - I doubt that people can positively utilize more than 2000dpi on their mice, with me finding a limit close to the 1600dpi. Above that you cannot be precise enough for anything but laid back internet browsing.I do play MMOs (EVE online), where the extra buttons can do macros etc just fine but precision is not that critical. In the more demanding FPS world, the mouse clearly shines. To be honest I've never had complains on the responsiveness of the VX Nano or the Microsoft's Mobile 4000, yet the G700 beats them on all surfaces. Almost any cheap cloth mouse-pad (used it on black and grey) did improve the feel of it over bare desktop surfaces.Tracking while you snipe is great, and sensitivity is easily adjusted by the default keys left of your right index finger. You can customize the dpi switching to be assigned to any key, with +/- steps in independent keys or looping through the settings with just one key.The "extra" G keys have a positive feel and I personally found them quite easy to find and identify just with touch. Unlike other reviewers, I did like the thumb keys and I can use them each and every time without missing or guessing. All of them work for both a slight "upward/in" movement of the thumb, or direct depression. Did not run into locking problems when using more than 2-3 buttons at a time (speaking on coms, using assigned macros and/or firing etc).Response is great and you cannot tell between wired and wireless.- Side status LEDs3 triangle LEDs live on the left side of the G700. With 3x primary colors, indicate the profile in use in case you manually switch(orange - 5 steps), DPI used (Red, 5 steps) and battery life (Green, 3 steps, with a single Red coming on when battery is really low).- More on the sensor's DPI ratingRemember tho that most "common" optical mice dance around the 800-1000 dpi range, and with today's screen real-estate (typical 1920x1080) and dual screen configs being common, many times you need to move a 800dpi mouse along your mouse-pad and even lift/return it for some more to go from one edge to the other. The software allows you to set 5 dpi steps for each profile, and I have none going above 3200 dpi (nor did the factory settings).- BatteryThe mouse comes with a single Sanyo Eneloop battery, and typically lasts about 2 days of work/gaming. Keep in mind that I do use my computer at least 10 hours a day, so I am happy with that. Charging usually completes within 3-4 hours while in use. Never timed it tho. The "low battery" indicator does come up on your screen, but as other reviewers mentioned, it's too conservative and you do have at least a couple of hours - or more - of usage after the warning.Personally I would prefer 2x AA batteries in parallel (like with the M705 marathon) for better battery life. Also keep in mind that despite the fact that the Eneloop is one of the highest quality NiMH batteries out there, their rated capacity is 1900-2000mAh, while most high capacity AA NiMH are rated around 2500-2700mAh. I tend to believe that the Eneloops would shine on low-drain, long battery life applications, something the G700 is clearly not. I don't have a spare 2700mAh (I use them in my flash units), but I believe the G700 would be better paired with such cells.- Corded use and chargingAgain, the transition from wireless to wired mod was seamless in my experience and the latest drivers. The cord is not the softest around, but I never felt it "stiff" and uncomfortable as some reported. It's an ok cord. Not as soft as many silicon-skinned cords some mice used, but works fine for me.The USB wire connector utilizes a micro-USB male plug on the G700's end. That means that any such cable could work for both using and charging the mouse. For the latter, probably any 5V mobile phone charger would work too, for those who desperately need an off-USB charging device (many PCs do power their USBs when in sleep mode, so charging is happening even when the machine is not "on"). Micro USB is supposed to be the EU standard for cell phone charging since 2010 (Apple, Nokia, Samsung, LG, Motorola etc among others agreed on using it universally) so more and more devices will provide compatible chargers.- Why the G700? So many Mice out there! As I was mostly on the move, I do appreciate wireless mice, and I've been spoiled by the nano-receiver on my Logitech VX Nano for more than 2 years now. The thing is simply amazingly versatile and quite fool-proof (not in a few occasions people had damaged the dongle, destroyed a USB port or both due to them protruding in the wrong place at a wrong time.Since I've bought the VX nano, I've used a couple of mice on friends computers and/or tried some on mine. I did not fail to notice that the old generation Laser "848nm" sensor they VX Nano and most of the nano-receiver mice Logitech produced the last few years (V220, M505, M705) did lack in tracking precision, even against relatively cheaper competitors like the Microsoft Mobile 4000 mouse - a unit that if it wasn't for the extremely jerky/cheap feel of its wheel/center button would be almost perfect for the <$20 price many vendors sell it for.Since I liked the Hyper-Fast scroll wheel in my VX nano, but I've hated the fact that the center mouse button was not on the wheel, the main contenders for replacing it where all full scaleLogitech mice, which provided all of:* Hyper-scroll wheel + center mouse button with positive feel* Better tracking than the VX nano* Ideally wireless with nano-receiver.* At least 2-3 programmable buttons, but not as badly placed as on the VX Nano.* Not really expensive - I ended up buying on the high end of my budget but most competitive "gaming" mice offered less features for the same price. The G700 was chosen over:- The G500 - seemed a great mouse, but cheesy in appearance and not really cheaper in the long run especially since it's only wired.- The Performance MX. Relatively better battery life, but not that better (still a high precision sensor with only one AA battery), not cheaper, less buttons (that many will not use anyways), with a unified nano receiver. I believe it would be a great alternative if it was actually cheaper. Has the "glass capable" dark field technology, but I never planned on using it on glass.- G400/300 - only wired, cheap(er) feel, great tracking. Don't like the right side buttons on the G300.Anywhere Mouse MX: All the pros of the VX nano, and all the cons too, but the 2 side buttons placement. Nothing a VX nano owner will actually want, unless you have to use it on glass and/or really need a unified receiver to use with a keyboard or something.- M705 "Marathon" mouse: Did not promise better tracking, but would give great autonomy and a definitely better battery life. Unifying receiver, way better scroll wheel than the nano-mice - if you care for middle clicking...off center sensor etc where never annoyances for my game style.6 month Update:After 6 months with the G700, I have nothing more to say that it still feels a great buy. I use it daily for design/drafting and gaming. Battery life is mediocre, but will easily last 20 or so hours of use in my hands. The matte finishing still looks great, with only a hint of skin grease visible on the left button. G keys never missed a beat thus far. Wish it had a unifying receiver to be perfect (ended up getting a K series unified keyboard for my laptop and I get to use 2x USB ports just for input devices).9 month Update:Rock and solid in every department other than battery life. Tried an old GP 2700mAh and still the mouse needs to be plugged every other day the most - and I am not using it @ 1000 reports /sec for productivity tasks which is 90%+ of the hours it is used. Got used to it, but Logitech should definitely consider a 2x AA design for the next flagship mouse, even if they come up with reduced consumption components.

5Remarkable lens and color
By tilth
There are almost no professional reviews of this remarkable projector. I bought it a year ago on the strength of the single review I could find - and have been very happy with my choice. To find that other review, use your favorite search engine and search for: Mitsubishi EW230U-st allan abbott .The short throw lens is an engineering marvel: I can fill the screen in my 85 person projection room with the projector only 4 feet from the screen. If you can't make the room bigger, this wonder at least lets you sit more people in the room. The other review and I are in agreement that the color is gorgeous and rich, right from the get go, without tweaking. The two caveats I have are: 1) a short throw projector will pick up ANY non-flatness in the screen; and 2) I wish the audio output from the stereo mini jack was stronger - it requires additional amplification to get good volume from my Creative T40 powered speakers.

5Excellent SC II Keyboard
By Ulyaoth
I hesitated before purchasing this keyboard primarily due to the negative reviews associated with it; however, let me be clear that this keyboard delivers a fluid and comfortable gaming experience and delivers on a number of features.Durability - There is not one piece of this keyboard that feels like it is made from cheap materials. The keys have a nice rubber texture that provides comfortable key strokes, and the enlcosure itself feels like a sturdy "Marauder" metal alloy. The key presses are nice and responsive but not overly "springy".Aesthetics - The overall look of the keyboard is un-rivaled. The back-lit keyboard looks great and the key values are easily legible when in a completely dark room. The four additional edge lights add a nice glow effect, and when combined with SC II, the APM lighting is easily the best integrated feature for a game I have ever seen. The keyboard looks like something that could be ripped right out of the Starcraft universe.Functionality - Although it lacks the full size of most standard keyboards as some other reviewers have clearly and sometimes angrily pointed out, the keyboard does not lack any of the functionality that any full sized keyboard provides. The only major difference is that Home, End, Page Up, Page Dn, Ins, Del and the arrow keys have been merged into the right number keypad with the ability to toggle what functionality the keyboard uses either number pad or not.In summary, this keyboard provides an excellent piece of hardware for an already great piece of software. One thing to note, if you are expecting all the bells and whistles of a multimedia keyboard you are looking in the wrong place, but just because a peripheral doesn't offer everything you thought it did (or should), maybe that is an indicator that you (the consumer) should do a little more research before purchasing an item and then giving a poor review.

4a solid compact keyboard for a starcraft fan
By P. Leo Kopsombut
i'm very happy with the marauder keyboard. the feel of the keys is solid, they have a very nice and tactile feel, not slick, more of a rubbery coating. the weight of the keyboard allows it to sit very firmly in place. the lighting is a very fun option. the apm stock settings are pretty high, i'd say if you weren't at pro gamer status you would never be hitting the 300 apm color. the user settings allow for the customization of the colors. i was pleasantly surprised with the other features it provided, options such as lighting up when your buildings are under attack, lighting up as buildings complete, overall adding to the enjoyment of the game. the macro programming is pretty simple as well, name the macro, type in the key sequence, and assign it to a key (for example i assigned F1 to "probe production" and made the macro "3, b, e"). i am currently using it with a mac and found the installation very simple.a few things to note, this keyboard has 2 usb connectors, 1 for they keyboard and 1 for the lighting. the lighting is solid with 3 options which satisfied my computer geek LED need. also there is no designated up, left, right, down arrow keyset, its integrated into the number pad. so if you have num lock on you won't be able to navigate with the arrow. also as mentioned in the other review, yes it is always blue if you are not playing sc2. as mentioned i use with with my imac so just a note the software driver installs to the SYSTEM PREFERENCES under OTHER unlike other razer products where it extracts to APPLICATIONS.overall, i think its a great product if you are a starcraft fan, it has definitely added to my enjoyment of the game.

3Good RTS Board but very small
By Anton
I find that the left side of the keyboard is great for an RTS gamer, however be very aware that the keyboard as a whole is very small. Like an above review posted alot of your keys are pushed together which is very strange and very uncomftorable. However the half of the board thats good, is the side of the board you actually need use for RTS's so it's not THAT bad. In the end it looks great and its a great RTS board but really thats all it should be used for. If you're not a serious RTS gamer this really isnt worth it.

5The G15's true successor
By Yu-jin Chia
After about 3 years of faithful, hardcore gaming service, my first-gen G15 was starting to show its age. Paint coming off, some keys sticking or unresponsive, backlight occasionally cutting out, etc. Despite this, I'd held off on getting a replacement for several reasons. Particularly, the 2nd generation G15 had only 6 macro keys, yet was still more expensive for reasons I can't fathom. The G110 seemed more like what I was looking for, but still only had 12 G-keys. Ditto the G19, which is probably also the most expensive keyboard on the market. I'm used to having 18 and probably can't live without that many now. Enter the G510, which I've found to be a worthy replacement that is the true successor to the original G15.Aside from jumbling up the numeric designation, Logitech made several changes to the basic design. The LCD display is now backlit but also smaller and no longer collapsible. The key backlighting has customizable color that is bound to macro keysets. The USB plugs in the back are gone, replaced by a headphone/mic jack that works through the same USB link. A few things are also moved around, such as the ESC key and media controls (moved a bit left and to the right above the num pad, respectively). Also gone are the wire guides in the back panel, and the media controls have been souped up with a barrel volume adjust instead of a wheel. Additionally, the G510 is significantly more compact than the old G15, which is somewhat of a relief for those like me with cramped desk space. In general, the function keys (MR, M1-3, etc.) are larger and have a softer feel to them; it sometimes took a bit of mashing to get them to trigger on my old G15.The 18 macro keys are effectively unchanged, as is the software. The feet are about the same (which is to say, pretty short) and the feel is very similar. The game mode slider is still there, as is the backlight on/off key. Generally speaking, unless you frequently hit ESC or use the media keys, you'll not notice anything different going from the 1st gen G15 to this keyboard.Regarding the loss of the USB ports- I did use one of them to hook up my mouse, but I found in general that few things worked on them due to the power consumption of the keyboard itself. Even hooking up peripherals seemed to make them less responsive, and so I don't really miss having them. The audio jacks are a better idea; they work well and are much more easily accessible than the ones on the front/rear of my tower. The Logitech G-series profiler hasn't changed a great deal since version 1.0: it still has issues detecting when certain games are running, especially games that don't specifically support it. This isn't too big a problem for me, as I only usually play 2-3 games at a time anyway, so the default configuration is fine for covering them all. As before, there's quite a few apps you can run on the LCD if you care to; standard ones now include a profile selector that interfaces with the profiler if you'd rather use the LCD instead of your PC. You can also load profiles onto the keyboard itself if you expect to be using it on computers without the software installed.About my only gripe with the G510 is that- as with the 2nd gen G15 keyboard- it's significantly more expensive than the old G15 was. It looks prettier and is supposedly USB 2.0 vs 1.0 which presumably increases response time (haven't really noticed a difference yet) but is otherwise effectively the same keyboard with some cosmetic tweaks. Still, I suppose it's comparable in cost to Logitech's other gaming boards, and it's not like you'll be buying one every year. As with the G15, the G510 caters towards the hardcore gaming crowd; it works fine for more mundane applications, but is massive overkill for something like run-of-the-mill word processing. There are some uses for the macro keys in office work, especially if you're a programmer, but it's a bit of a steep price for just that- and in such cases the LCD, game mode, and backlighting are pretty useless. Overall, for gaming purposes, the G510 is an awesome product that- once you've gotten in the habit of using the macro keys- will be very hard for you to live without.

5A great refresh of a great keyboard
By Terry Mesnard
Logitech is on a roll with their new keyboards. They've created an interesting and (usually) easy to follow line of keyboards that range from being perfectly competent (G110) to being absolutely wonderful (G19, G13). Sitting in the middle at one point was the G15. The G15 had very similar features to the G110 (which was a refresh of the G11). It came with an LCD screen where the G110 had none. The only one up the G110 had was in the programmable key department. On the side of all of the G series keyboards is a row of G-keys, which allowed you to do a variety of things, like program specific key strokes or even develop macros. All of these functions are controlled by software, that allows you to sync specific G-keys to specific games. This allows you to load a game, and have a specific key set for that particular game. The original G15 apparently had 18 G-keys. When they redid the G series keyboards, they reduced that number to six programmable buttons (this is the previous model and the one I used). The new refresh (G510) ups the G-keys back to 18 (with the M buttons, this provides you with 54 unique functions per game). This allows games to have a vast combination of keys to choose from and even trumps the G19, the "top of the line keyboard" in terms of numbers. That is, until the inevitable G19 refresh. The G510 has an monochromatic LCD screen that has a couple of really cool widgets available. It works seamlessly with Ventrilo, so if you're in the middle of a game and you're playing with new people, you can see who's talking, comments people leave, etc. It works very well. I use it all the time with the G19. Other games offers specific widgets. I've seen this mostly with Lord of the Rings Online, where you can see your stats on the screen. It also has other non-gaming uses, such as media displays. You can see the song track/artist of music you're playing, for instance. It can also be used as a clock, a POP3 Monitor or as a RSS feed. These are all features that carry over from the G15 and are a step up from the G110 which lacks the LCD screen. This is also a step down from the G19 which offers the same functionality, but in color. The G19 will allow you to watch videos on the screen, but the small screen doesn't necessarily make it conducive to video watching on a regular basis.Otherwise, the keyboard operates like you'd expect. It has backlights that allows you to use a multitude of colors to light your keys. It has both integrated USB for audio for a headset and also separate audio/mic jacks with the option to mute it. One nice feature is a slider that allows you to switch between gaming and Windows, which makes it so you accidently do something to minimize your game. It does lack the USB hub options of the G19, though. Overall, the G510 is a great refresh of an already capable keyboard. For those who have the G15 and are thinking about upgrading, I don't think I'd necessarily do it (or maybe look at the G19, which I will continue to use). But for those new to the Logitech G series keyboards, this is a great intermediate keyboard that offers most of the functionality of the G19 and offers more functionality than their entry level keyboard (G110). No matter which one you go with, I'm really impressed with Logitech's keyboards.

4A few little issues
By Moo
I got this as a replacement for my g15, the one with the 18 G keys. That keyboard was starting to flicker some and even had paint worn out where my hand would be for gaming. Anyways, one problem I have is you can't change the angle of the screen like with the g15, and this keyboard's screen just isn't at quite the right angle. I can still read what's on the screen fine, but it could be at a better angle. It doesn't have brightness changing, only on and off. Which brings me to the choice in colors, I think it's pretty cool, but find blue to be too dark to see and needs a bit more oomph before I'd choose to use it. That being said I do think the green color looks pretty cool even though my computer has blue led fans which doesn't match. I do like that the windows button disabler is now a switch so you don't forget like I had with the g15 and keep wondering why you can't hit the start button, then think it's windows and restart. I would have liked to see separate cables for the audio that branch off near the usb end so you don't have the poor quality of usb sound and make my soundcard useless. It would also be nice if you could plug just the mic into the keyboard and still get audio from a sound card. My mic picks up my computer fans over ventrilo, but not other programs so I thought maybe the keyboard would fix that possibly. I also think it would be neat to have the ability to assign the volume scroll wheel to a certain program as I never adjust my windows volume, just the volume of whatever program I'm using. It would be good too if the mute microphone or headphone was software and not the built in audio hardware. I do think they also did a good job on the size of it as the g15 was a behemoth. I speak of the cons most because that's usually what I use to decide upon a product, this one still has a lot to offer, but I also say these things so that maybe the manufacturer will hear about these things and edit some of their designs in the future.Edit: If you're paying the full $120 price tag it's probably not worth it as it's basically a g15 revision 1 with a few tweaks. Also the new LGS(logitech gaming software) from their website has been rather glitchy through many of their versions. I've found the 7.00.291 version to be rather stable and only have maybe one or two problems with it. If you don't experience problems with the original software from the disk I'd suggest to continue to use that, and watch the logitech forums to see if a good stable LGS version comes out.

5What I expected
By R. Henke
Got what I expected...I had the BLACKHAWK! Stalker Drag Mat before and liked it a lot. I sold that one with a rifle and when I needed a new one I found the Galati Gear Tactical Rifle Cover & shooting mat. Quality is the same. The Blackhawk maybe got a little more padding, but I didn't have them next to each other... this comes from what I remember. I like the extra pockets and the color, but wish there was a camouflage version. I still think even $89 is a lot for what you get, but the Blackhawk was even $20 more! That makes the Galati in my opinion the better deal.

5Amazing- feet still felt great after days full of walking on vacation.
By Wedge73
Comfort: A++A lesson learned from our last vacation was to invest in comfortable walking shoes so this year, we considered buying Clarks Waves before our trip. I tried on the shoes in the local Mall and liked how the shoe's rocker sole seemed to return energy to my steps. I bought the Hatch Oxford in black, thinking I couldn't go wrong with the 30 day money back guarantee. Well, we just got back from this year's vacation and I'm happy to report the shoes lived up to my expectations. I was on my feet 7-10 hours walking each day and when we returned to the hotel, I was consistently pleased at how my feet didn't hurt. Note: I have very flat feet, so I replaced the Wave OrthoLite footbed with New Balance X-Sole inserts (in another review). Without full testing, I can only say the combination of shoe and insole saved my feet from a painful vacation experience.Style: A+Another plus for these shoes is they provide all the comfort of trainers/sneakers without looking like you are using your gym shoes, especially when traveling in Europe. I could wear these with jeans, khakis, and slacks without drawing unnecessary attention to my feet. Note: The thread on the black oxfords is light brown, giving the shoes a "smart casual" look, so I would consider the Wave Hybrid if needing something more formal. To blend in with the local fashion, leave the Nikes and Reeboks in the closet and take your Waves instead.Durability: N/AHaving only had the shoes for 3 short (but intense) weeks, I can't speak on the durability of the shoes yet. However, the leather upper did get some scuffs during our trip that were easily buffed out with leather wipes. Also, I have a very pronounced heel strike but because of the shoe's design, my shoes show less than normal wear on the back of the heel.Summary: AThis shoe is for the traveler who doesn't want to be singled out in the crowd as "the American who wore his white tennies to the Vatican". So even though your half unzipped fanny pack, cargo shorts, and baseball cap may give you away, at least your shoes blend in with the crowd. If you are planning a vacation where you will walk a lot, and you don't want to wince at the thought of putting on or taking off your shoes, consider Clarks Waves.

2Low Quality
By Smooth Sailing
I liked them while they lasted. One year old and both soles are cracked completely through from inside to outside at the ball of the foot. I wore them two or three days per week. I would expect this from shoes that cost much less than these. I have shoes that are more than 5 years old that still have decent soles. No more Clarks for me.

3Not for everyone
By Closer
I find it tough to assign stars to a product that I don't like myself, but I can imagine someone else being very happy with. I wanted to post a 3-star review to alert people to how this Clarks shoe is different from many others.I have several pairs of Clarks shoes, and they are by far my favorite for comfort and quality. This particular shoe has an unusual sole that almost "propels" you forward when you toe-off; I assume the sole's shape is the reason for the "wave" name.I can imagine some people really liking that motion, but I'm afraid I didn't care for it. In addition, the sole is very firm, which probably gives it good longevity, but makes each footfall considerably "harder" than other Clarks shoes that I have. The shoe is fairly heavy as well.By comparison, I have the Clarks Rhombus and the Clarks Un.Coil, which have more traditional fit and feel, and which I find incredibly comfortable. This may be the right shoe for you, but note the unusual nature of the design.
