Insanely Great Value, Devours Batteries
By K. Fasken
I was worried when I purchased this pedal that the price was so low for an analog delay that it would turn out to be a piece of junk. I had read reviews, and aside from people who had never actually played one and said that for the price it had to be of poor quality,it always received stellar marks. After having tried it for months now in a classic rock/college rock band setting, I have to say it lives up to everything nice that has been said about it.I've owned Boss Digital Delays, and a EHX Memory man analog, and they were nice each in their own way. The Biyang is loads cheaper than both, and I would say it stands up equally well with its own voice. It is smoother than a Boss Digital delay, and quieter than an EHX. The self oscillation is rather unique sounding with a faintly digital flair for all of its being analog, and at times it reminds me of Radiohead-esque noise degeneration. I've managed to nail The Edge - U2 style long repeats, and Pink Floyd "Run Like Hell" tones. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that this thing devours batteries in an ungodly way. I'd say the average 9-volt gets about 2 hours of time before the delays fade entirely. Most analog delays share this trait of being power hungry, and it would have been nice if it had come with a power adapter, rather than pretending otherwise. Plan on buying one to use with it, but even with the extra expense, it will still be loads cheaper than just about every alternative. My hobby is pedal building, and I've been playing guitar nearly 20 years. My board is full of Zvex and homemade creations (along with the Biyang). I opened the case on mine to check out the guts (probably voiding the warranty), and the only place I saw any concession to quality is that the components are Surface Mount, and not point-to-point soldered. Zvex has also been doing this with products in his vexter line, so it isn't necessarily an awful thing (but it does reflect mass production). The foot switch is true bypass as advertised, and the time switch and enclosure seem plenty rugged. And besides, if it breaks, at this price it can be (would be) replaced. I've also noticed that there are stores that are re-branding these units for sale here in the US. If you're not afraid to take a chance, you sometimes get lucky. This is one example.

The Real Deal
By Rex Z
For less than half the price of competitors, with true bypass, forgetaboutit. I have owned other delays as well as a space echo and this is a quality product. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a great analog delay. It is hi-fi enough to sound good, but low-fi enough not to sound ice picky like digis, and the range of time control is from almost nothing to over 1.5s. It will do oscillation for days, you can even incorporate the switch into the oscillation for some unique effects. A+. Also bought Their Tremolo, I own classic Fender amps and the trem on that pedal is also awesome. If people can get past the name, I think Biyang would be a giant player in effects.

great delay pedal. one thousand percent satisfied
By dee's sososikwitit
i received $10 off so i obtained this awesome analog delay pedal, shipping included for under $60! what a deal. i initially was going to pick up a electro harmonix memory boy, which retails for about $100 or so. saved about $40 and love the warm analog tones and rich delay sound this pedal produces. just fyi, it does take a couple of minutes for it to work right. for the money, i couldn't be happier.
