California Magdesian was started by two brothers in LA in 1952. Having knowledge of footwear making in both Armenia and in Russia the brothers were working for another LA company when they began to make shoes in their garage for extra money. Soon they were discovered as true craftsman. Their name and reputation quickly spread to other southern resort towns and soon they were known for sandals and shoes of quality in many sizes and widths. Today Magdesian is still run by family of the 2nd generation and training the third for the future. Their shoes are still hand crafted in LA county in the City of Industry, CA. Magdesian uses imported fine-grade Italian leather as well as American leather. They make shoes in size 4 to 14 and in Super Slim (SS) to Double Wide (WW) .

didnt fit my fat feet

and i ordered a wide wide.. i have very wide feet, usually dont have a problem finding shoes on amazon. esp b/c of the amazing ability to find widths unknown in american stores. but this shoe felt verrrry cheap. granted i bought them on sale they were orignally like a 70$ shoe. but it was soo flimsy. the heel was not as sturdy as i had hoped for a square heel and not a stilhetto. and i felt like i was almost walking barefoot under the ball of my toes. the peep toe seems to accentuate that second toe that always seems to be uglier and longer.. BOOO!!! maybe im just used to buying ACTUAL PUMPS W/ hidden platforms...

This is a really cute, fun shoe. Oh, so comfy right out of the box. Perfect fit, no need to break in. This is my second California Magdesians purchase and they do not disappoint. And BTW, I love the bow on top!

Do you know how hard it is to find womens shoes in a size 4. Hard unless you want them to have pictures of Hanna Montana or Wizards of Waverly Place! Thank you for providing such a nice shoe in my size, in my price range, and in my maturity level. Keep up the great work!
