5Balancing my Estrogen Dominance
By Andrea Polk
For the past year I've battled increasing PMS symptoms: mood swings, cramping, bloating and headaches. I was feeling worn out and crabby 24-7 with no relief in sight. Doctors call it 'perimenopause', but I simply refer to it as HELL! The symptoms would last most of my 28 day cycle and while my menstrual cycle would arrive on time, the periods themselves changed. Heavy cramping, but virtually no flow. Large clots passing for 2 to 3 days and then it would stop, only to start the PMSing again within 72 hours. My GYN offered up birth control pills for the cramping. This only increased my PMS symptoms and gave me migraine headaches. I stopped them after two weeks and went on the Internet in hopes of discovering something that would ease my pain. I read about something called 'Estrogen Dominance' and found myself saying "That's me! That's how I feel." The suggested protocol for easing symptoms of Estrogen Dominance... progesterone cream.Fifteen years ago I had gone to a nurse practitioner who had tested my hormones and suggested I take progesterone via a pill. I did it for awhile and didn't really get much relief so I stopped taking it. I did try progesterone cream (another brand) during that time too, and found it didn't help me, so I was a bit reluctant to try Pro-Gest too.I started Pro-Gest on the 10th day of my cycle. Day 1 was the first day I started bleeding, with cessation of bleeding on day 4. The first two days on the progesterone cream (taken 2x's a day; morning and night, 1/2 teaspoon) I had mild migraine headaches. I guess this was my body trying to accept the new hormone. After that, with each passing day, I noted I felt calmer, less bloated, had fewer cravings, and slept well - a rarity for me, requiring me to take 3mg of Melatonin with Valarian a night (usually, but not with Pro-Gest). I stopped the cream on day 26, two days before my period arrived as scheduled. My PMS symptoms were nearly non-existant with minor cramping the night before being the only signal that it was coming. Flow was light, with fewer clots and lasted 4 days.My GYN was skeptical about this cream and basically said 'Do what you want...', offering no real help. It was a desperate step to try Pro-Gest, and I had to look around online to find out what dosage to try first. Once or twice a day? When to start it? When to stop it? How much to slather on and where? Some try this cream twice a day from the time their flow ends until it begins again. I really think you have to play with it a bit to see what works best for you. Start in small doses and change your application point each time you put it on to avoid skin irritation. It's mild and has no real scent to me. Rubs in easily too. Remember to wash your hands and use a separate hand towel to dry your hands if you are sharing a bathroom with other people who may inadvertently get some cream if you aren't careful!I just ordered more and am so happy to say it has helped me to feel more like my old self again. I was feeling crazy most of each month, and now feel like that has all but disappeared.I sleep through the night and have energy throughout my day. I work out four times a week and had lost quite a bit of weight and bodyfat, but that had been significantly stalled by my hormone wars. Now I seem to be losing bodyfat again on the progesterone cream and hope that happy trend continues. If you are having problems with PMS, perimenopause or menopause, give Pro-Gest progesterone cream a try. You can easily stop it if it's not working for you. If it does...you'll never want to give it up! Stop crying, screaming, snarling, snapping and cramping - order this one now - it works.

5Godsend for me!!! Thanks SO much! TMI alert...=)
By E. A. Smith
I am 27 and have been having 'female' problems for a loooong time. Vitex seemed to help but then put me on a month-long period. I was back to square one. For my first 4-5 months of marriage,I had mood swings, crying jags, rarely to never wanted sex, and could not even have sex w/o lubricant. My doctor said it was stress. Then my period stopped for 3 months. I thought maybe I was pregnant....kept getting negative tests then found out I was...when I miscarried. This started me to bleeding. I bled from November 19, 2011 until February 15, 2012. My doctor kept trying to help me but nothing worked, not birth control, not Provera, not Prometrium...nothing. It was so bad I almost had to quit my job b/c I was going to the bathroom every 15-30 minutes to change my pad and push out HUGE clots. I thought I was dying. I asked about a hysterectomy. I was desperate. Finally I decided to go the natural route and ordered this cream. Bleeding stopped within a day. I spotted for 2 more days, now nothing. I will post later if I have any side effects or difficulties, but for now I am so grateful to feel that I have a life again.

5Best Find Works Great
By GreenT
This works wonders for me. Two days is all it took to start turning around the miserable feeling I'd had for the past 5 years. I chose Emerita because it is backed by clinical studies, is Paraben free and natural unlike chemicals in products that have an adverse effect on hormones. After thorough research, I do however highly recommend, as I did, you verify progesterone deficiency with a Dr. through hormone testing (one that specializes in bioidentical hormones) or thoroughly research symptoms you have to see if it matches symptoms of progesterone deficiency. Emerita Progesterone Cream has been such a big help over the past year, I wish I'd known about it 5 years ago while I was approaching my 40's and suffering with extreme fatigue, headaches, moodiness, acne and of course the dreaded irregular heavy and long cycles. This was my last hope after changing several birth control pills (which I did not need, but the Dr. recommended to help regulate hormones) I'd had an ablation surgery in hopes of alleviating the heavy periods which made me feel so awful. None of them worked, so I finally researched hormones and came across progesterone deficiency symptoms. I later confirmed with a Dr. who specializes in hormone testing (I was skeptical, but figured it couldn't hurt at this point). Sure enough, progesterone was low. I won't go without it and send a big thank you to the makers.
