Awesome!

It is rare that I buy something and say to myself: "I would have paid $100 *more* for this item, and been quite happy." But, that's certainly the case here. Top two drawers are convenient general storage, and you have a nice hanging-file drawer at the bottom. Note: I published a VIDEO review of the matching "writing desk"; if you look that up, you will also see the filing cabinet displayed.

Decent design quality, fit and finish not quite up to snuff

Purchased recently, and the unit arrived undamaged. Two issues. The file drawer is about 1/8" narrower than will fit file folders comfortably, so they are wedged in there and are hard to deal with. I had to cut a thin strip off of the side of the file folders, but don't think I should have to do that to use it.. Second, the laminate on one side surface has bubbled loose in two spots about 2" across. Not really noticeable unless you look hard, but you can feel it with your hand. Poor QC on that.
