This 297 piece puzzle shows Renoir's 1879 painting, the Oarsmen at Chatou. The puzzle pieces are cut in a swirly style designed by Seattle artist Tara Flannery, similar to our Klimt Hope puzzle (to see example pieces, click on the little picture below the image picture above). Like all our puzzles, made of 1/4" wood and laser-cut in Seattle USA. Packaged in our standard pine wood box.

Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle.

This is an amazing 300 piece wooden "Victorian" jigsaw puzzle!Instead of regular interlocking pieces, these have different shapes ofhigh quality wood "whimsy" pieces. The experience & feel of puttingtogether these type puzzles, I find so satisfying!If you have never experienced the world of an "adult" wooden puzzle,give it a try. There are many scenes & sizes to choose from.Prices vary, this one was $60, many are less. It often depends on thenumber of pieces and type of wood used.I believe It was in the 30's & 40's, they were popular.I am glad they have finally come back out with these!

This is a beautiful puzzle. I hesitated before ordering it because it doesn't contain any whimsy pieces, but actually the pieces are so beautifully shaped it is almost as if they are all whimsy pieces. A lovely design and a favourite puzzle to assemble.
