Quality Budget Headset

I needed a second headset for my daughter and guest passengers. The headset was not going to get much use so price and light weight were very important. High quality aviation headsets are expensive, that's a fact. Finding an inexpensive headset that will provide comfort and noise protections is a lot to ask for. I tested the set flying a 172N, this is a older airplane, it's not quiet and the avionics are dated. My standard headset to compare are David Clark H10 13.4 at $300.00. The nice feature of this set for a passenger/guest is they are very light, they fit a child (8 year old) too. The set comes with a microphone muff, however it works better without the muff and placing the microphone close to your lips as possible are helpful. I consulted with the people at Softcomm, they were very helpful in answering question about their complete line of budget priced headsets.
