Made a big difference, but made poorly

First off, I want to state these do stabilize our 30 ft. travel trailer while it's parked. I would not have guessed they would make that much difference, but they do. The downside of these units is they are poorly constructed. The locking arm pivots on the threads of a screw that keeps coming loose and one half of the scissors mechanism that expands the shoes is too weak and even if though adjusted per instructions has bent a couple of times. Should have sent back, but the tinkerer in me decided to weld in a stiffener. If you don't have the ability to straighten them, I'd buy something else.

Terrific item

I bought these for my new fifth wheel and they work great. One tip when you first get these is to open them and tighten the nut about 2" just to start. Put it between the wheels and try tightening them with the bar. Then you can adjust it from there. Once it is adjusted for you tires you will never have to do it again. Watch your fingers.

My parents had a similar set for their travel trailer that required you to tighten them down with a wrench like thing.These are so much better in that after you've adjusted them you just pull the lever up into the locked position and you're good!I use the lock hole to keep someone from swiping them or my kids from playing with it.Great sturdy construction and easy to use/setup!
