Love it! Exactly what I wanted

I grew up with handmade heirloom quilts (made by my grandmother and great grandmother). Lately I'd been looking to find a quilt. I wanted a real pieced cotton quilt, not a cheapy printed quilt. That's exactly what this is. The quilting is very detailed to keep the batting in place. It's a real quilt and I got it for an unbelievable price.I'm very happy with this purchase.

Well, the colors were beautiful and on first look, was exactly what I was looking for! The entire "ring" of the wedding ring design was all different plaids! If you miss the 70's and 80's and would love a quilt made from "Grampa's shirts" this is it! The other side was a very nice hunter green with maroon, navy (and other jewel tones) solid plaid. Now the bad stuff...the stitching was AWFUL! My 8 year old does a better job with her sewing! Nothing was lined up, and although I'm sure one could say it added to the authenticity of "hand sewn" it was too awful to look at for the life of this quilt. Besides, should you turn it over, the other side had no nice pattern to it like so many of my other quilts. Awful. Then....things started moving. Yes, bugs. I know in shipping you could pick up the occasional bug, but this was in a SEALED plastic bag...and there were many bugs! I IMMEDIATELY removed the quilt from my home, and began the cleaning/debugging process. Fortunately, there was no damage (physically) from the little buggers...but I still get the heebie-jeebies just remembering...ick. Good luck to anyone considering this purchase. :-(

This quilt has a broad array of colors on a neutral background. There's a lot of attention to detail. In fact, it is much nicer than it looks in the picture. For the price, it's a bargain.
