easy to use - does the job
By N. Stamoulos
Love almost everything with this. Much less expensive that similar systems I researched. The only thing I am sceptical about is that the basement air pumps out right next to where the "fresh" air comes in. I wonder how fresh the air coming in is - not sure how much of a difference it makes since product seems to work.I modified it to fit 4" ducts (adapters at home depot / lowes w some insulation tape - since 6 " are huge and had no room for them.UPDATE 1/18/2013DONT COUNT ON THIS TO REPLACE A DEHUMIDIFIER. MY BASEMENT IS ABOUT 800SF. GRANTED I RAN THE DUCTS SOME 20 FT AND REDUCED AIR FLOW STRENGTH - BUT THE HUMIDITY LEVEL WOULD NOT COME DOWN UNLESS I ALSO RAN DEHUMIDIFIER.I DID NOTICE MUCH REDUCED ODOR

A winner of a product!
By graphicfunk
This is not rocket science. A basement needs ventilation. You could install an exhaust fan. You can then add an intake fan. Well. this product has both in a compact unit with a dehumidistat to boost. The beauty is that you can go all exhaust or intake, or one fan doing intake and the other exhaust at the same time! One single installation for all this. Need more be said?
