The Jensen Mod Series is said to be "Modern, with a touch of English." Major advancements in equipment technology and the introduction of new playing styles made it necessary to develop this speaker line, which is geared to the more modern player. Very nice sounding

Initially I was hesitant to consider the Jensen MOD series, and must confess it was a prejudice based on it's price alone. Which might possibly be the same reason you don't see many Youtube video demos of it either. However I was in a bind when my speaker blew out on my Teisco Checkmate 25 (it's an old 1x12 tube amp, very similar to a Vox AC 15) and I was low on cash and had an upcoming show. However, my apprehension was assuaged after we wired it up and turned the amp on. This speaker really does have a good sound, nice rounded bass, and very clean highs, with lots of treble in the sound (something I need in my own playing); it also seems like it's able to squeeze a little more volume out of my little tube amp, which is always welcome. I think if I had the money to purchase this speaker or something more expensive, I still would have bought this and saved $50. It really is that nice.
