This 303 piece puzzle features Daniel Merriam's painting Tailspin- a richly detailed scene of musical monkeys playing in a tree. Merriam is one of the world's most celebrated watercolorists, and we are delighted to bring you this limited edition puzzle (only 750 of these will be produced; each puzzle comes numbered). The whimsical puzzle pieces were uniquely designed for this puzzle by Seattle artist Tara Flannery, and the puzzle has a decorative border rather than a straight edge (alternative photos above show example pieces). All our puzzles are made of 1/4" wood in Seattle, USA. Packaged in a pine wood box.

Wow! Challenging and fun

Beautiful craftsmanship. Just love the colors and shapes. Many pieces are tiny and there are design patterns created by clusters of pieces which adds to the challenge and fun. This is our third Artifact puzzle and it would be hard to go back to any other puzzle maker. Excellent quality, creative choices in artwork, and piece shapes. We are looking forward to our next puzzle!

This was my first wooden laser cut puzzle, and now I'm spoiled. I don't want to do a regular cardboard puzzle any more!I was hesitant at first to spend more money than I normally would for a puzzle but it's well worth the price in my opinion.The pieces are intricately cut and fit together perfectly, no need to force them together. The shapes are unique and intriguing, some pieces are quite tiny. The 'whimsy' pieces are delightful. Don't let the small overall finished size fool you, it doesn't go together quickly, it's enjoyably challenging. This isn't a puzzle I will put together once and forget about, it will be cherished and worked more than once and handed down through the family.Not only am I extremely pleased with the puzzle, but the customer service was superb when I needed assistance with an issue. After sending off an email late one evening I was surprised when I had a reply within an hour and very satisfied with the help I received. Excellent communication.If you're curious about getting one of these whimsical wooden puzzles and hesitant because of the price, I'd highly recommend trying one. My only warning: one won't be enough!

fun puzzle!

This puzzle was a lot of fun to assemble. The quality of the puzzle is quite nice, although some pieces had to be pried apart. Overall, a good puzzle for the price.
