Here's the thing...It works!

I bought this kit because I was just starting with studio lighting and I wanted something that was fairly inexpensive but not too cheap. The only reason it's not getting 5 stars is because when I first got the light stands out of the box, I couldn't get it to unfold (mainly because I was doing it wrong but) I broke a piece where the main shaft connects to the 3 bars in the center (no biggie really I managed to fix it with a zip tie and it works like a charm). I didn't really apply that much pressure, so the build quality is on the cheap side which I kind of expected but the performance however is great. I recommend getting some shoot through umbrellas with this set but the umbrellas it comes with do what they need to do with plenty of power. in fact i generally use them with the power turned all the way down about 85 percent of the time in my small home studio, but it will crank out some light a good way out. I've used them to shoot a peewee basketball league with a about 16 Teams and it did excellent. Along with a chromakey background and another off camera flash and softbox. So if you're just starting out this is a good buy. I would also like to recommend if you can go with a 3 light kit for around the same price or even a little more it would be worth it.
