cute but disappointing

I have had a taller pair of all leather Timberland boots that I absolutely love, so I looked to Timberland when I was looking for a summer boot. I liked the idea of the leather/canvas combination. The quality is very nice, as expected (although I'm not convinced the strap is leather...). The boots are very comfortable right out of the box, true to size, but I really dislike the rubber sole. It is thin, and I can feel every stone if I wear them in the great outdoors! I like a heavier, chunkier sole/heel, so I ended up giving these to my mom and buying myself the 8R Harness Frye boots that I had been lusting over. They are just the ticket.

I love these boots. Fit true to my size. First time wearing them I walked over 3 miles and had happy feet. Love the look. I had been looking at them on line for months and glad I finally bought them.
