Best snare drum

I own a 6.5x14 Pearl Sensitone from 7 or 8 years ago - so when it was time to purchase a new drum for my church I knew exactly what I wanted to buy. This is the most versatile and forgiving drum - every tuning sounds fantastic. Combined with an Evans HD Dry batter head this snare drum kills. Warm, controlled, and tons of body.I was concerned at first because I wasn't familiar with the Elite line, but this drum did not disappoint. Worth every penny, even if it cost a considerable amount more than I paid here on Amazon.

You know I am so sure you could spend hundreds more on a snare and not get the sound, power and performance that this baby will give you, just do it if you need an new bang bang toy, it will be worth it.Rock On!!!

I've tried a lot of snare drums over the years - both metal and wood, most much more expensive than this - and hands down this is the best I've tried. Pearl really knows what they're doing. Of course, if you can try one out yourself first you should. But if you already know you want a steel snare drum that isn't crazy expensive hopefully you'll be quite pleased like I was.
