Paslode cap stapler

This is a great tool. Saves a huge amount of time. Light and easy to use up a ladder fastening Tyvek or on a sloped roof. Only issue I saw was on rapid fire occasionally the air piston would break the next plastic cap off. Also I was not able to find the Fascaps refill kits locally.

Used the bostich cap nailer, hated it, and decide to try paslode. Was going to buy the duo-fast version, but that was hard to find along with more money. Haven't used it alot yet, but just messing around with it, it's balanced well, easy to load, spool pays out perfect, sinks staples very well, and was well packaged. I personally don't have a problen with the 3 staple rounds to 1 spool ratio, People complain they wanted same amount of staples as caps, but that just isnt a reality. You would either have to have a large clip on the gun to hold all those staples which would more than likely make it more awkward, or cut down the spool size which would mean you would be loading BOTH every 90 shots!

Stapler works great, but.......

Stapler is a great tool until it breaks. Built probably about 15 houses with this cap stapler before the driver and piston exploded inside of it. Not a major deal if you can actually FIND replacement parts for this model. Paslode didn't even have them. When I finally did track them down the price was astronomical. Great tool but if it breaks,(which is inevitable with any pneumatic tool) be prepared for a decent amount of downtime and a ridiculous parts bill.
