Good Blender for Indian Cooking

Majority of Indian American Households have Oster Blender in their Kitchen. Perhaps no other Manufacturer has come close to providing, needs of this ethnic cooking.After using the same brand over past 30 Years, this Model is a welcome addition in Gadgets needed at Home. Motor is Great. Function is excellent. Fit and finish lookslittle plasticky and Flimsy over years. May be made in China syndrome!!! to keep cost down and reasonable.Ashok and Suman.

Serious Speed

This blender is powerful. I've only had it for 6 months or so, but I can tell that it will be around for a long time. It does only have 3 speeds, but it is sturdy and simple. It gets the job done. I blend soups, frozen fruit, ice, etc.

Read a lot of reviews before I decided on this one. There were a lot of people complaining about the sound. Its a blender people not a ceiling fan, they make noise not matter what you do.That being said my complaint isn't with its function. 3 speed options with an off at both sides and I use it primarily for shakes, bananas, protein, ice, water, milk, and so on. Not an industrial blender by any meansThe only complaint is that the feet rub off easily. I thought this would go away after using it for a while and sliding it around on the counter a bit but it still does it like a crappy pair of shoes on a gym floor. There's alway black marks and I have to clean up the counter after using it.Good thing is that this didn't affect its function. I could easily get a pair of feet at a store and replace it and issue would go away. In the interim time I just pick it up instead of the lazy slide.
