The perfect trash can

I never thought I'll LOVE a trash can, but there it is, it happened.It's the perfect size for kitchen use. The lid opens all the way with the step and the top is wide enough to easily dump your veggie left-overs from your cutting board without little chunks falling all over the place.It opens quietly and it CLOSES quietly (the lid doesn't just slam shut, but slowly closes).Seals well; no smell.Easy to clean stainless steel, no mold and other yucky stuff growing under the lid.Fitting any other kind of trash bag is actually not a problem - there's a little hole on the side of the removable inner can, which allows you to tuck in the excess of the bag and hold it tight from inside while putting the whole thing back together (this might not makes any sense until you see it).

This looks really nice, very functional. I actually got mine from Amazon.com as "good condition", "may be repackaged". for 89.99, it arrived new condition with 5 year warranty.As for trash bag liners, not a problem. Use your own and save the extra cash with buying "special trash bags from their company. I actually am using right now Save a Lot large plastic grocery bags for my liners. Their is a hole in the back of the red trash can to thread trash bags through to tighten them. The side of the grocery bags tuck in to the black bin located in the red can, a few seconds of effort, and viola.... the top of trash can comes down perfect and no liner showing at all. Their is a review on here that says that regular trash can liners don't fit, a couple of seconds tucking them in, they all fit fine.Especially any white or black regular 13 gallon liners.It takes a few seconds for the lid to close after opening the bin with the pedal which is normal and not "15 minutes" like another reviewer complained about.And looks wonderful in your kitchen.

The lid doesn't close properly

This trash can is lovely. Everything about it is great, except the lid doesn't close properly, regardless of whether or not I am using the Simple Human trash can liners designed to work with this can.It rarely closes all the way - I usually have to push the lid down. When it does close all the way, sometimes it takes up to 20 minutes for the lid to shut completely. I'll walk out of the kitchen and suddenly 15 minutes later I'll hear it shut down.If the lid closed the way it's supposed to, then I'd give this 5 stars. For a garbage can, it really adds to the charm of my kitchen, but I wish it functioned as great as it looks, especially for the price.
