Finish on Grab Bar

Beware: The description of this grab bar said "stainless," but it is really chrome. I am returning it, so I can't speak to the quality of the bar itself, but it doesn't match the finish on my other bathroom fixtures.

Beautiful and functional

I reviewed the 16" Designer Elegance Grab Bar with Grip Finish: Chrome in 2011 when we remodeled three bathrooms at our previous home. Anyway, the first thing we did when we moved into our new home in FL was to install these grab bars in our bathrooms. This time we had full showers and a larger soaking tub, so I used the 24" bars horizontally in both showers and above the tub and the 16" ones vertically to aid in getting in and out of the tub and showers without slipping on tiles.I love these grab bars. They are the only ones I've found that have a rubber grip on the back which makes them feel really secure when you are grabbing them with wet and possibly soapy hands AND they are beautiful: no exposed screw heads, pretty finished ends. Plus since they aren't rounded corners on the ends, you can hand a wash cloth or a body scrub with a loop handle on the ends.

This grab bar is exactly as described by the manufacturer; it also came with detailed instructions that made installation simple. Highly recommend this product.
