After much research I decided to buy this hard drive about a year ago. It is super fast, even on the USB 2.0, USB 3.0 speeds are ridiculous! I have had no problems what-so-ever running on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac, and even Ubuntu. I had never heard of Adata previous to this purchase, I will definitely buy another one once this one is filled up.

This Data unit is my first external hard drive. Although it does require plugging into an electrical outlet, I found the unit to be fast and easy to use the first time. Everything came preloaded and set up was about a minute. 15 minutes after opening the box, I had backed up all the photos (2000+) and videos (50+) in addition to my personal documents. Great buy!
