Egyptian cotton, it's not just cotton grown in Egypt - it is a particular type of long-staple cotton originally grown along the Nile. Egyptian cotton has the longest fibers. That is, when you pull the cotton from the cotton plant and remove the seeds and waxes, Egyptian cotton has longer fibers available for spinning into yarn than other cottons. When intertwining strands of yarn to make a larger product, long-staple cotton has fewer connection points, and therefore a greater percentage of area is the natural softness of the cotton.

soft & beautiful sheets

These are soft and beautiful sheets. The holders for the poles are too skinny for my poles to fit. I used a couple pencils in each one and it works fine. The corners are wide enough so I probably would not need anything to help hold them down. All cotton means they are wrinkley after washing. Oh well, having them so soft makes the winkles worth it.

These sheets are soft and comfortable. They wash well and come from the dryer almost wrinkle free. They have a pocket for an anchoring dowl - but do not have the dowels. We purchased wood dowels but would have prefered plastic. Generally, I am pleased with the product.
