Big Dog Ruggedness in a Small Dog Package!!!

After years of searching and being disappointed, I've FINALLY found the perfect harness for my beloved little MinPin, who's also my certified Service Dog.I was never happy with Service Dog capes or vests and wanted a harness that would sport his Service Dog patches and allow me to clip on his leash. I tried out vests & harnesses made for little dogs but they were made of lightweight materials & wouldn't hold up to the strength of my best buddy -- the petite D-rings would deform over time from the constant stresses & the canvas holding the rings would tear.What I have longed for over the years was a harness sized for a little dog, but made of the same heavy-duty materials used for the large working dogs. It has been a long & frustrating search, but it has FINALLY paid off!!!Here are my comments on the features of this awesome harness:1) Harness Body is made of a thick, heavy-duty, reinforced canvas.2) Straps are a generous 2" width w/matching buckles -- a far cry from the ribbon-like straps on the aforementioned petite vests & harnesses.3) Not ONE, but *THREE* large, Heavy-Duty D-Rings: one on the topside, and one on either side. This allows you the freedom to choose how/where to attach the leash and guaranteed to hold up to the best a powerful little dog can throw at it.4) Built-in Handle is a very nice touch & can be used to quickly pick-up or restrain dog in a pinch.5) Reflective Trim adds to the nighttime safety factor. Even if you use a reflective leash such as I do, the Reflective Trim enhances Dog safety by making the DOG stand out.My dog's new vest is currently at the dry cleaners, having Service Dog patches sewn on to each side; and, making a commentary on what a SUPER dog my Service Dog is, there's a special patch for the topside: a Superman logo patch (no, his name is not Krypto!). I've also requested a slight alteration to the harness: having 2" removed from the chest/breast strap (not the girth or under-strap) to allow it to contour & fit better. The harness body is a perfect fit, but the strap bulged out even on the tightest setting -- as a Service Dog he needs the reliability of something that properly fits and doesn't provide a hazard as he goes about his duties:Please Note: My MinPin stands about 12" high & weights about 12 pounds (solid muscle!), so keep this in mind for your own little dogs, as this harness is currently the smallest size made by Dean & Tyler. Little dogs with big chests should fill out this harness nicely, while the more petite little dogs could wear an altered harness. Give this harness a try to see if it will work on your little dog, fortunately, you can return the harness if it looks like it can't be adjusted to fit your particular dog's parameters.I've quipped for years that my little guy has a big dog attitude in a small dog package, and now he has a harness that features Big Dog Ruggedness in a Small Dog Package!!! Kudos to Dean & Tyler for making an excellent, rugged harness for the little dogs!

This harness doesn't look like other harnesses because it is different. Oh yeah, and it costs about 3-5x more than your average, crappy mesh harness. It costs more because it obviously takes a LOT more money to manufacture these things. These are made in Europe, not surprising since it's of such high quality. Made in China=crap, and unfortunately Made in the USA usually means manufactured in China and just assembled here with the same sub-par materials.This harness is the easiest harness to put on in the world, my American Eskimo no longer has the chance to play the "chase me around the house" game because the harness is on her before she realizes what's happening. I got the XXSmall size for my miniature American Eskimo puppy, who is a long and lean 10 pounds. This size will allow a little room to grow but fits very well. With all the hardware you'd think this is a heavy harness, but it is amazingly light (once again quality materials throughout).I would recommend this harness to anyone who walks their dog using a harness, it helps with the pulling and offers an unprecedented level of control (the grab handle is awesome for this). Dog about to bolt after a squirrel? Grab the grab handle, she's going no where. Big pit bull charging at your puppy at the dog park? Grab the grab handle and pick up the pup, kick the pit bull. (This happened when my pup was 5 months old). After the owner of the pit bull shows up to control their dog, kick him too.So buy this harness, it is simply the best one on the market.

The Xx Small size fits perfect on my 8 months old pug puppy (I posted a couple of pictures). It is very comfortable and exceptionally well constructed, I think it will last forever! Highly recommended.
