RV awning tie down

Purchased this Claw RV Awning Tie Down Anchoring System through Amazon and I have found it to be an excellent system. The first night I used it we had rains and winds come through our camp site in the Arizona desert. Before installing this system our RV awning would lift up and drop down in wind gusts and force us to retract the awning. With this system the awning doesn't move at all. We now feel comfortable going to bed in the evening and not worrying about our awning being damaged by the wind.

I stumbled across "The Claw" RV awning anchoring system while digging around on the internet after a trip to my local RV store revealed their selection of awning "stakes," etc. looked pretty weak. I thought that if the folks who make and market The Claw system have experience in anchoring light aircraft on grass strips, they should surely be able to hold down a RV awning! So, I ordered the thing through Amazon.com.When it arrived, I knew I had a winner, and the very next weekend I had the opportunity to put it to the test... in the sandy soil of east Texas. The ground was so sandy that the stakes could very nearly be pushed fully into the ground simply by pushing them down with the heel of my shoe! Even so, once installed, neither I nor others who looked at it were able to pull it from the ground, no matter how we tugged and pulled.Granted, it's a bit pricy, but considering the cost of a quality RV awning, and the security this system provides, it seems a bargain.

Great product.n bought it for or awning on our RV. Had high winds last night, and the awnung stayed put!
