Product Description
Bench-crafted one at a time, the leather journal is crafted from quality cowhide custom tanned in deep red and deeply embossed with an intricate wild rose design. The journal is accented with a coordinating floral pewter button to accent the design. An attached rawhide cord loops around the pewter button to securely fasten the journal closed. Within the red leather cover is a replaceable 5.5" x 8.5" 208-page hard-cover blank book of heavy bond acid-free pages, perfect for recording sketches, notes, diaries, dreams, travels, poetry, musings or your personal works of literature. Once the pages are full, the journal may be refilled with a new blank book allowing a lifetime of use. (additional blank books available separately, ASIN # B001QXGYOG ).
Leather portions are tanned and hand-tooled in the USA. Pewter accent is individually designed and cast in the USA. The overall rose design extends fully to both sides, front to back. Overall size = 6" x 9".

Wonderful Journal

At first I wasn't sure if I should buy one online given the price and not seeing it "in person". I was quickly glad I purchased when it arrived (which was rather quickly). This is the most lovely journal I have ever had. I am so pleased with the quality and it will surely last a very long time. I like the refillable option. Would purchase again!

This is the second refillable Embossed Leather Writing Journal I've purchased. They are excellent quality, and meant to last a lifetime!I purchased this one for my daughter, who is graduating from high school this year, and will be starting college in the fall. I wanted her to have a quality journal she could chronicle her big steps from high school graduation through her Bachelors degree and on through Graduate School. I wanted it to be a journal she would be proud to use and would be able to use forever!One thing I love about these journals, is that they use hard-covered book-style journal inserts, which you can replace as needed, and which will be safe to stand on their own as you collect them from all the different stages of your life. They are strong and top quality, just as the covers are.I am giving this journal to my daughter for Christmas, therefore allowing her to start her journaling now, while the excitement of college acceptance letters is sparking the air, and notices of Scholarships are arriving periodically, and final preparations are being made for the conclusion of her Senior year of high school, as well as the first year of the next leg of her journey. I want her to be able to chronicle it all in a beautiful and safe manner.Although she hasn't received this yet, I just know she is going to love it!These Embossed Leather Writing Journals are beautiful, top-quality, and meant to last a lifetime! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I have purchased several Oberon journals over the past decade or so, and I firmly believe that they will outlast me. This specific rose design is gorgeous: the red leather is a very rich color, and the pewter button also has a rose design. I know that I'll enjoy this design for many years to come. Oberon journal covers add a wonderful dimension to keeping a journal, and while the inner notebooks may be replaced the lovely covers provide a satisfying sense of continuity. In addition, this seller delivered very quickly.
