First off, it's not paper

I use this material for my pastel work. It is an incredibly versatile medium, can be used either wet or dry (its typical use is to rub down car paintwork during repairs) and is really ideal for pastelwork as it allows the pastel\caran d'arche\coloured pencil to be brushed off and overpainted as many times you want. It's tough as old leather or canvas. You can rinse it under water and then clean it with a brush and can be used again and again, for for 50.00 for 100 pages you are really getting an incredible deal. It's major downside is it has as much texture as vellum bristol paper i.e. none.
