Power supply clarification

This 5.0 Amp rated AC Adapator is required for the CGEM DX and the CGE Pro mounts. The other available celestron AC adaptor, part number 18778, is the 2.5 Amp unit for the CGEM (not DX) and other mounts. Apparently the extra cost is that this is a switching unit rather then a transformer type unit to "...save weight and increase power output...".I gleaned this only after downloading the manual for my new CGEM DX scope and looking it up when the vendor called me to say that my $29.xx charger was now a $69.xx charger. I have yet to recieve the actual shipment. I had to rate it something - hope it bears out four stars.
