Saved My Life

I suffered from chronic neuropathic pain for almost 2 years by the time I started light therapy. I'd tried all types of medication, homeopathic remedies, and even spine surgery to cure the pain. Nothing worked. The first time my doctor tried light therapy, the pain disappeared. However, I thought it was a coincidence and maybe just the medication finally kicking in. I stopped the light therapy, and the pain came back. This happened 3 times before I finally accepted that light therapy was what was stopping the pain. I've been using the light therapy ever since and have been pain free for almost 3 months now. It's changed my life completely.As to this particular product, I love how big it is and feel I can cover more area than with a smaller. The downside is how fast it heats up. It's pretty much unusable after 10-15 minutes and I have a pretty high heat tolerance.The cord is about 3 feet, which allows you to move around while using it, but there are no straps, so you have to hold it on with your hand or a homemade strap. The light is bright, so be careful using it around your eyes or children.It's cheaper than FDA-approved devices, but after extensive research on Google Scholar and emailing with the companies selling the FDA-approved devices, it seemed that the nm of the diodes is what has the medical effect, and the nm on this product (660 & 880) is the same as that on more expensive products.My mother, an RN, is still dubious of light therapy's, but she can't deny that it's worked for me. If you've stumbled across this, I really hope it works for you too.

I am 44 years old and live in Bellevue WA.I have been researching some type of product to help me with my dark sun/hormone/age spots on my face for little over a year. I wanted a device that would cover a larger area of my face than the size of a coin.I first started to use the light therapy at night, what a mistake that was! I was waking up at 4am and could not fall back to sleep. So take it from me, use only in the morning because it can throw off your sleep patterns.After 2 days of using the lights believe it or not I could tell a difference. Also, I was using this everyday in the middle of the summer. I use sunscreen on my face everyday, even with 45 the sun still gets through. I could use the light in conjunction with Vit C and it just works that much faster.Now, when the kids are off to school, I go to the computer and use the light while scanning through emails. I am completely thrilled about this light. It really does work!

OVERPRICED but The BEST Light Therapy Device

Update as of July 2, 2012 - Needed another one, but found it CHEAPER from LED Man for ONLY $135.95. This seller: Living Essentials is CHARGING WAY TOO MUCH for this device at $199!!!! yikes!=============BELOW IS MY OLD REVIEW WHICH I STICK TO.I highly recommend this device over the others. It has a high concentration of LED's per square inch compared to the other Light Therapy Devices I have used.It has 120 LEDs - 8 rows of 8 LEDs each of the 660 red (64 red led's), and 7 rows of 8 LEDs of the 880 infrared (56 infrared led's) on about a 2" x 3.5" surface.I was using a Bio 7 Pain Therapy that had only 56 leds: 36 red led's and only 20 infrared led's on a 2" x 3.5" surface. It was a good device and did the job.But because this device has more led's per square inch, it does the job faster. You can use this device daily for pain or for beauty treatments (wrinkles, sagging skin, sun spots, spider veins, etc.)
