The RLL012-01 Rescue Laser Light is a hand-held day and nighttime laser signaling device that provides a convenient, effective way to signal a rescue party. It's waterproof, rugged design combines the safety of a laser signaling device with the convenience of a flashlight.
Unlike pyrotechnic flares, the Rescue Laser Light is non-flammable, environmentally safe, and can operate continuously for 40 hours on a single, long-life, replaceable lithium battery. Battery included on domestic orders.

The Rescue Tool You Will Never Use (Hopefully)

The Rescue Laser Light is one of those things you buy with mixed emotion. It's pricy, but worth every cent. The laser broadcasts a brilliant light that can be seen for miles at night. However, if I were the average Joe and saw this light shining in the distance, I would think it was just someone fooling around. That's because few people are aware of this product, much less that it is a distress signal. For the typical hiker or camper, a signal mirror is much cheaper and practical. But if you travel on the ocean, big lake or remote wilderness, the Rescue Laser Light is by far your number one choice for a signaling device for calling attention to search planes and boats.The Rescue Laser Light is ruggedly built - darn near indestructable and waterproof. It provides many hours of signaling capability on one battery - far more than you would every need in a real life situation. Nothing at all negative to say about this product - just make certain it's right for your situation before buying.

The laser works great at night, and allright during the day. Works great as an alternative to flares - lasts way longer and can be used over and over again. Very happy and small. I reccommend this to everyone who hikes regularly.
