Great boot

I ordered these boots because I've been searching for a black, high heel, knee high boot with a sexy profile. They are much harder to find than you would think! My one apprehension in ordering was due to the pull on styling, and the wider ankle area.I received them today and am quite pleased. The shaft of the boot is not overly baggy, although it does slouch gently around the lower calf and ankle. I have posted two images to show you how much it slouches.I have 14.5" calves at the widest point and short legs at 5'4". These boots fit **perfectly** around my calves even though the shaft measurement is given at 14". I can pull them on carefully over very tight skinny jeans, but they don't bag or gap when worn on bare skin (see photo).Although the foot bed is only lightly padded the angle of the arch / heel is perfect for distributing weight evenly between the heel and ball of the foot, causing them to be extremely comfortable.The only reason I gave these boots 4 stars instead of 5 is because the leather on this pair seems slightly mis-matched. One boot is almost a pebble grain, and the other boot is a much finer grain leather. I am sure they are just made from different parts of the hide and the discrepancy is minor enough that I'm not going to exchange them, especially since there is no way to know if I would be shipped a second pair with the same issue.

I received the boot within 3 days from ordering it and I must say I was happy with my purchase. The leather is a nice quality and the boot is very comfortable to have a 4 inch high heel. I have been looking for some comfortable black boots for the longest. I did not give the boots 5 stars because they do slouch a little bit because they do not have a zipper. I was able to take them off without assistance. If the brown was not medium brown, I would consider purchasing them in brown. Oh, they are true to size, I wear and a size 8 and purchased a size 8 and they are a perfect fit.
