Leveling Scissor Jack has a heavy-duty steel construction. Each jack includes a large 5 inch by 8 inch rectangular steel base plate and frame mounting plate that is supported by its own channel. All scissor arms engage with a tooth gear design to ensure straight line vertical extension and retraction. One model will fit most RVs regardless of the ground-to-frame clearance with 4 inch to 23-3/4 inch extension. 7,500 pounds capacity.

LEVELING Scissor Jack 30"

Installed two of these on the 32' 9,000# 5th wheel trailer, just behind the 2nd axle. Intent was to allow us to level the trailer, and lift some weight off of the wheels when not in use. Had to build special adapters to mount to the trailer frame at 45 degrees (so when retracted they don't stick out beyond the side of the trailer). Found that they were able to lift the trailer without much effort (8" ratchet).I'm going to have to add some reinforcement to the adapters to transfer flexing to the sides of the "I" beam frame, the flange is too thin to take the bending that these can inflict, but not a jack problem.I'm happy.

Supports weight, but won't lift much weight

Made in the USA, strong construction, but the screw threads are designed for a fast lift into support position. The screw threads are NOT designed to lift very much weight. After there is weight on the jack, it is much too hard to turn the handle to use this to lift more than a few inches above the starting jack point.

When we bought our new camper the jacks that were on it worked ok, but we wanted something a little more heavy duty. These work very well and were easy to install. They are also easy to crank up and down.
