5How could you go wrong?
By D. Adams
Since I've started to game again, I figured I should upgrade my GPU to something that's a bit more current. So I went from my trusty 9800GT to this GTX460. The difference is simply astounding. Burnout Paradise now looks like it's playing in fast-forward and is smooth as silk at 1920x1080, all settings maxed and 4x AA. NFS Shift, which previously really stressed out my GPU runs perfect maxed out (I forget the settings, but probably everything maxed out, no AA). Unigine's benchmark on all default settings (at 1920x1080 again) ran very well. I do wish it were a bit smoother, but it averaged around 30FPS which is fine by me.The card itself is a good size, not requiring a massive amount of space previous generation cards with similar specs. Heat management is wonderful too, with the card running much cooler than other cards I've tested both at idle and maxed out.Oh yes, and you'll get a nice little "upgrade" if you purchase one of these cards. A bios is being offered (mine came pre-lodaed with it) that bumps the stock clock up from 675/1350 to 720/1440. But of course if this isn't enough, these cards overclock like crazy.Honestly, if you're looking for a good upper-middle range upgrade, you really can't go wrong with one of these cards.

5Mighty Mouse of video cards!
By Term8r
A lot of good things have been said about this little card, the reason I say little is it is smaller in size to the GTS 250 SC it replaced. but that is where it ends. The GTX460 is far Superior in every way. It runs as well on Bad Company 2 with everything turned up on high than the other card runs in low and medium. I tested the 3DMark test and it it was 1300 points higher at the default settings. It runs very smooth in the new MOH and MS Flight Simulator X. I love FPS and this card has upped my kill ratio substantially. It runs very quite, even when you overclock it. EVGA has a tool (EVGA Precision) which allows you to monitor the performance of the card at all times, not only that but allows you to overclock. Now if you dont feel comfortable OCing a new card, not to worry because EVGA has already OC'd the card in a mod they have done before it is delivered. The standard GPU Core setting was 675 mhz it has now been changed to 720 mhz the shader clock likewise. So it runs very well right out of the box. If you read any reviews on the net, I an sure you will find this is a highly rated card for the money, a real ringer! However if you like to OC, kadie bar the door, this card is a glutton for abuse. It is AWSOME, I know over used term but it applies. I only have room for one card in the cabinet, but I can imagine what a pair of these would be like in SLI.I was hesitant to try this card, because I have an old HP computer with a 460 watt power supply. Do not concern yourself with that motion. It runs cooler and uses less power than most video cards out there. 18 watts at idle and about 165 watts at max output. That is about half the power draw of the GTS 250. It dos require two 12v power dongles, so make sure you have the necessary dongles coming off you PS.Congratulations to Amazon for getting this card to my front porch in one day using 3 to 5 day ground shipping! An all time record for any supplier I have used in the last 15 years of buying computer parts.I really like this Card, and highly recommend it.

5Great so far! Quiet and great performance for good price.
By Steve G
This card runs quietly and performs perfectly so far. Installed in a motherboard that only has PCIe v1, so if you are concerned about running a v2 in a v1 mobo, don't be. It's working great!
