5Debunking the negative comments
By BritishInvasion91
I see that there are only two reviews for this toy, and I realize they are mediocre...I'm not understanding why this is.I'm a big toy collector. I have thousands of toys, and this is a great one. One of the other reviewers is correct: There is some assembly required. I don't know what's wrong with the one they got, but as for mine, it was easy to assemble and it has stayed in one piece since I put it together. I'm sorry, but this is a TOY. Of course it's not fair, or realistic, to expect it to hold together if a child throws it off a bunk bed. It's not a real dragon! You may be thinking I have no room to talk, since I'm a collector. However, my 6 year old nephew(and 3 year old niece) have spend countless hours playing with this figure and there have been no problems whatsoever. But maybe that's because my niece and nephew are aware that a dragon toy isn't a real dragon, and can't be treated like one...hmmm.As for the other review, stating this figure can't stand well on its own...what? When put together, the dragon stands on all fours, and his tail sits on the floor. In fact, it's pretty darn hard to make this dragon NOT stand on his own. His wings aren't heavy enough to tip him over, his tail keeps him from falling backwards and his head isn't heavy enough to make him fall forward. I'm really not understanding these comments. All in all, this is a quality figure that is a great likeness to the dragon in the film. I realize this is the "Night Fury" dragon(they just released not too long ago a specific "Toothless" figure), but I just call him Toothless, as it's the same type of dragon. I'm planning on buying one for my nephew for Christmas, he'll surely love it. The toy is a good size, easy to put together, and durable. What else is there that could make it better?

5Awesome Nightfury!
By A Customer
I love this toy! I am happy the front legs can move and he can open his mouth. Plus, he's the only dragon of the nightfury series that wings flap and he doesn't have "dive bomb" wing flaps. He has a wing that falls off often, though. It's just doesn't fit correctly. Also, he gets obvious white to light blue scratches from scraping things like the concrete. But overall, I love this toy!

3It Was Difficult...In the End
By Kevin J. Keigley
I took my son to see "How to Train Your Dragon," and I was intrigued by the film, the story and the art overall. My son really liked the dragons.I was pleased to find this dragon, Night Fury, available in a deluxe toy model. I have seen some of the smaller versions of this toy, and the Night Fury dragon needs to have weight and texture for the young hands that will be holding it.When we finally got the package in the mail, I noticed that there was some assembly required -- no big deal, right? Well, the long tail had to be "snapped" onto the end of the dragon. It did not hold and fell off many times. In the end, I had to use an industrial glue to get the tail to stay. After holding it in place for a minute, I gave it back to my son who took off with wooshing sounds and a large grin.Unfortunately, Night Fury did not survive a 6 foot drop from a little girl that was visiting our family. She thought she would make Night Fury fly from the bunk bed, but instead he hit the ground and his wings shattered from their joints. It was beyond repair, but the tail did not budge. My 5-year-old son showed great restraint and maturity as he kindly picked up the pieces, told the little girl it was okay and waited for me to get home from work where I was met by my son and his sad little tears.Overall? It was a great toy with some construction issues. Though I think it is a bit pricey, I would like to buy it again to replace the old one. My son loved it so.
