Sweet boots

Bought these to put myself back on the slopes after a 17 year hiatus. I was an advanced intermediate and found that even after all the years, I felt like my old self after just a couple of days. I opted for these after doing alot of research. Salomons - esp. in their higher-end boots - are known for a snug fit. I'd skied Nordica and Rossignol boots back in the day but I have a very "low-volume" and narrow foot and these Salomons were just the prescription. They cinch down great, even without the fourth buckle up top. My whole ankle, heel, instep and even across the top of my feet all feel "dialed in" without being uncomfortable. The flip up/down toggle at the rear of the boot enables easy walking, climbing, etc and "clicks" right in when you're ready to ski. I was worried that the 90 Flex would be too stiff but this seems just right for me. I'm not a big guy - 5'9" 165lbs - and thought maybe I should go softer but I'm glad I didn't. These boots do want you to pay attention though. Fall into the back seat just a little and next thing you know you're losin control! So I find these boots to be super comfortable, good-looking and great performers with room for me to grow into them (performance-wise) as I "re-discover" the slopes!BTW, I found my feet were just warm enough. I wore a single merino wool/poly blend sock both days on the mountain and I found at times my feet could have been warmer. I don't know if this is a shortcoming of the boot or my "sock strategy" or even if its enough of a concern to call it a complaint - I wouldn't say my feet were cold, certainly never freezing like my hands were with the under-qualified gloves I had - but I wanted to write a thorough review for those considering this great boot. I'm really happy with them, worth the money! See ya on the slopes....
